Green cleared waivers and was assigned outright to Triple-A Salt Lake on Wednesday, Bill Shaikin of the Los Angeles Times reports.
All 29 other MLB teams passed on Green after he was designated for assignment last week, so he will remain in the Angels' organization for the time being. The 28-year-old did hit .306/.337/.449 at Triple-A Salt Lake this season, so it's at least possible he could draw interest from another club.
