The 33-year-old has played in just 13 games in the major leagues since 2011 (all this season) and is highly unlikely to receive any major league offers this winter.

Kevin Kouzmanoff is likely to undergo surgery to repair a herniated disk in his back.
Kouzmanoff will get a second opinion Friday but acknowledged that surgery probably can't be avoided at this point, as he's starting to feel some tingling in his legs. "It's been a rough couple of days," said Kouzmanoff. "Surgery is the last thing you want to try, but now it looks like the time has come." Kouzmanoff has already missed a week and would miss an additional 7-12 weeks if he has the procedure.

Kevin Kouzmanoff went 3-for-4 with a home run and three runs batted in as the Rangers beat the Mariners on Tuesday.
Kouzmanoff, filling in for the injured Adrian Beltre, belted a solo shot off of Blake Beavan in the second inning, going back-to-back with Prince Fielder. Kouzmanoff knocked in two additional runs with a double in the eighth inning, providing some insurance. No one is expecting him to hit as well as Beltre, but he's doing a good job of it anyway in the early going, now batting .450 over 23 plate appearances.

Kouzmanoff had a strong spring and has carried that over since he was called up on Wednesday. Kouzmanoff has a hit in each of his four games, batting .417 (5-for-12) with an RBI and a run scored. With Adrian Beltre officially placed on the disabled list, Kouzmanoff should get most of the starts at the hot corner over the next few weeks.
