Crawford picked up three tackles and the Cowboys' only sack in Sunday's comeback win over the Giants.
He provided some immediate returns on the contract extension he signed just before Week 1. Crawford agreed to a five-year, $45 million contract extension with the Cowboys on Saturday, NFL.com's Ian Rapoport reports.
Crawford did not post eye-popping stats last season, tallying 33 talkies and three sacks in 15 games, but he generated consistent pressure in the pocket, and is a player on the rise, so the Cowboys wanted to lock him up for several more seasons. He will be leaned on as the team's top defensive tackle moving forward.

He hasn't officially been ruled out this week yet, but it seems unlikely that he'll play. Crawford is still looking for his first career sack and has just 20 tackles in nine games, so he won't be a big IDP loss, but the Cowboys may have trouble replacing his snaps on the defensive line on Sunday.

Coach Jason Garrett said DL Tyrone Crawford has recovered from his torn Achilles' tendon.
Crawford tore his heel on the first day of 2013 training camp. The Cowboys are "confident" DL Tyrone Crawford can be a "key cog" in their 2014 defense despite his 2013 Achilles' tendon tear.
