MIAMI (AP) — Outfielder-first baseman Scott Van Slyke has signed a minor league contract with the Miami Marlins after spending the past six seasons with the Los Angeles Dodgers.Right-handed pitchers Jumbo Diaz, Javy Guerra and Tyler Cloyd and left-hander Mike Kickham also signed minor league deals with the Marlins. All five players received invitations to spring training.Van Slyke batted .122 in 29 games last year. He's a career .242 hitter with 29 homers.Diaz went 1-4 with a 5.70 ERA in 31 games as a relief pitcher for Tampa Bay last season. LF Scott Van Slyke was sent outright to Triple-A Louisville on Sunday to clear a spot on the 40-man roster for Luke Farrell. Van Slyke, who came to the Reds last week from the Los Angeles Dodgers in a trade involving reliever Tony Cingrani, is batting just .233 in the minor leagues and .122 in the majors this season.
