Mon Oct 12 201518:33Lynch (hamstring) expected to return to practice Thursday
Lynch (hamstring) is expected to return to practice Thursday.
Lynch has missed two games due to a hamstring injury, but a return to drills Thursday would put him on pace to fulfill head coach Peter Carroll's belief that the veteran back will play Sunday against the Panthers. If he does so, he would presumably take on the bulk of the RB touches, even in a backfield with healthy options Fred Jackson and Thomas Rawls at the seahawks' disposal.

Seattle Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll said he expects Lynch (hamstring) to return for Week 6 against the Panthers, the Seattle Times reports.
Carroll said Lynch might be physically capable of playing in Sunday's game against the Bengals, adding that the team ruled out its star running back because it was worried that a re-injury could lead to an extended absence. Thomas Rawls is thus in line to lead the Seattle backfield in a tough road matchup against the Bengals, with Fred Jackson (questionable-ankle) potentially available as a complement. If Jackson sits, the Seahawks will likely sign another player and/or use fullback Derrick Coleman as the top backup. Despite the internal optimism, Lynch can still be considered questionable for Week 6.
Fri Oct 9 201516:24Marshawn Lynch: Officially ruled out
Lynch (hamstring) has been ruled out for Sunday's game in Cincinnati, ESPN's Field Yates reports.
Lynch was officially ruled out just a few hours after head coach Pete Carroll said his star running back would be a game-time decision. It's unclear what caused the change of heart, but there's little question that Thomas Rawls will lead the Seattle backfield, potentially playing close to every snap. Fred Jackson (ankle) is also unavailable, and the Seahawks have yet to sign a running back for depth, leaving fullbacks Derrick Coleman and Will Tukuafu as the only backup options.
Fri Oct 9 201512:06Marshawn Lynch: Game-Time decision in Week 5
Head coach Pete Carroll said Friday that Lynch (hamstring) will be a game-time decision for Sunday's game against the Bengals, NFL.com reports.
Carroll noted that Lynch is "really close" to being ready to play, but a final call on his status will not be made until sometime Sunday. Expect him to be listed as "questionable" when the Seahawks release their final injury report of the week following Friday's practice.

The Seahawks changed Thursday's injury report to list Lynch (hamstring) as a limited participant, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official website reports.
Originally listed as a non-participant both Wednesday and Thursday, Lynch will likely be listed as questionable on Friday's injury report. He may be headed for a game-time decision for a tough matchup in Cincinnati, but the Seahawks do at least have a 1:00 PM ET kickoff. With Fred Jackson (ankle) likely out, Thomas Rawls could take on a three-down role, as the Seahawks still haven't signed a fourth running back.
Thu Oct 8 201519:07Marshawn Lynch: No practice Thursday
Lynch (hamstring) didn't practice Thursday, Curtis Crabtree of Sports Radio KJR reports.
With no work in the first two practices of the week, Lynch's status for Sunday's game at Cincinnati remains up in the air. The Seahawks have one more opportunity to clear up his availability for Week 5, but he could enter the contest as a game-time call. Because fellow back Fred Jackson is expected to sit out, rookie Thomas Rawls could be at the forefront of the rushing attack Sunday.
Wed Oct 7 201520:41Marshawn Lynch: Doesn't practice Wednesday
Lynch (hamstring) was a non-participant in Wednesday's practice, Liz Mathews of 710 ESPN Seattle reports.
After head coach Pete Carroll said that the Seahawks consider Lynch day-to-day, the running back followed the comment up with no activity to kick off preparation for Week 5. With two practices remaining and a 1:00 PM ET kickoff Sunday in Cincinnati, owners should have plenty of knowledge at their disposal to make a prudent roster decision, if in fact Lynch misses a second game in a row.

Coach Pete Carroll relayed Wednesday that Lynch's (calf) status is considered day-to-day.
That's to be expected after Lynch ended up being downgraded to out for this past Monday's game against the Lions. Fortunately for those invested in Lynch's Week 5 status, the Seahawks kick off against the Bengals at 1:00 ET on Sunday.

Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll said Lynch (hamstring) showed improvement leading up to Monday's win over the Lions, seahawks.com reports. "[Lynch] wasn't quite right," Carroll said after Monday's game. "His best day was today. He ran pretty well in pregame, but they did not think he could sustain through the game and come out healthy again the next week. So we're hoping that by using patience here, that he'll be ready to go this next week."
Originally listed as questionable, Lynch was ruled out Sunday afternoon, after missing the entire week of practice. He doesn't necessarily need to practice before returning, but it will be an excellent sign for his Week 5 availability if he can at least log a limited session this week. The Seattle offense has a tough matchup in Cincinnati.
Sun Oct 4 201516:26Marshawn Lynch: (Hamstring) Ruled out Monday
Lynch (hamstring) has been downgraded to out for Monday's game against the Lions, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.
The Seahawks went through a walk-through Sunday, after which the decision was made to hold Lynch out in Week 4. While he rests his balky hamstring, Thomas Rawls is expected to take on the bulk of the available carries, with Fred Jackson handling more of the third-down work.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport indicates that the Seahawks plan to let Lynch (hamstring) make the call on whether he plays Monday night against the Lions.
The report solidifies the notion that Lynch is shaping up as a game-time decision for Monday's contest, which is somewhat problematic for those without a contingency plan (such as Thomas Rawls) in place.
Sat Oct 3 201516:08Lynch (hamstring) officially questionable for Monday's game
Lynch (hamstring) is officially questionable for Monday's game.
This has looked like a likely game-time decision all week, and that will indeed be the case. Thomas Rawls will be the starter with Fred Jackson serving as the third-down back if Lynch does not play .
Fri Oct 2 201519:16Marshawn Lynch: Misses another practice
Lynch (hamstring) did not practice Friday.
Lynch has yet to practice this week, and he's seemingly headed for a game-time decision Monday against the Lions. If he can't play, the Seattle backfield will be led by Thomas Rawls and Fred Jackson, with the former likely getting most of the carries and the latter most of the passing-down work.
Thu Oct 1 201519:34Marshawn Lynch: (Hamstring) No practice Thursday
Lynch (hamstring) didn't participate in Thursday's practice, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.
The Seahawks' upcoming Monday night tilt has afforded Lynch additional time to recover, so his lack of activity won't deviate from the expectation to begin the week of prep. With two more chances to return to drills, he could clear up questions surrounding his Week 4 availability, which could come down to a game-time decision. If he's handed his first DNP since the 2011 season, Fred Jackson and Thomas Rawls are present to man the backfield.
Wed Sep 30 201513:20Marshawn Lynch: (Hamstring) "50-50" in week 4
Lynch (hamstring) is "50-50" to suit up Monday against the Lions, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Lynch's hamstring required extra attention before and during Sunday's win against the Bears, making his first appearance on the Seahawks' third drive of the game. Limited to five carries for 14 yards, he eventually ceded running-back duties to Fred Jackson and Thomas Rawls, the latter of whom turned in a 100-yard effort on the ground. With a Monday night contest on the docket, Lynch has additional time to rehab his hamstring, but Thursday's injury report will provide the first insight into his availability for Week 4.
Mon Sep 28 201518:38Marshawn Lynch: Undergoes MRI
Lynch, who underwent an MRI on his hamstring Monday, will be reevaluated later in the week, according to coach Pete Carroll.
Meanwhile, Liz Mathews of 710 ESPN Seattle suggests that we may have to wait until Friday to get a better handle on Lynch's Week 4 prospects. The Seahawks play the Lions next Monday, which allows Lynch added recovery time, but if the running back turns into a game-time decision, he could make for a dicey lineup call. In the event that Lynch is limited next Monday, or scratched, Thomas Rawls and Fred Jackson would be in line for added opportunities in the Seattle backfield in Week 4.
Sun Sep 27 201520:14Marshawn Lynch: (Hamstring) Carroll Not Worried
Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll said Lynch's hamstring injury isn't anything to be worried about, Liz Mathews of 710 ESPN Seattle reports.
Listed as questionable due to a calf injury, Lynch was active for Sunday's 26-0 win over the Bears, but he didn't start and only got five carries, eventually leaving with a newly-acquired hamstring issue. Although neither injury appears to be overly serious, Lynch's sparse usage in the first half suggests his calf is still sore, and the addition of a hamstring issue only makes things worse. On the other hand, he will have an extra day to recover, with the Seahawks hosting the Lions on Monday Night Football in Week 4.
Sun Sep 27 201518:11Marshawn Lynch: (Calf) Won't Return Sunday
Lynch won't return to Sunday's game versus the Bears due to a hamstring injury, Curtis Crabtree of Sports Radio KJR reports.
Lynch didn't make his first appearance until the Seahawks' third drive of the game, as he wasn't seen on the field, sideline, or otherwise prior to that point. Finishing with five carries for 14 yards and one catch for nine yards, he'll yield running-back duties (for now) to Fred Jackson and Thomas Rawls.
Sun Sep 27 201515:06Marshawn Lynch: Suits Up Sunday
Lynch (calf) is listed as active for Sunday's game against the Bears.
The last time Lynch missed a regular season game was back in 2011, so it's not a huge surprise that the 29-year-old back will tough things out on Sunday. Through two games to date, Lynch has carried 33 times for 114 yards and is still looking for his first TD of the season.
Sun Sep 27 201508:05Lynch (calf) expected to play Sunday against Bears
Lynch (calf) is expected to play Sunday against the Bears, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports.
Lynch is officially listed as questionable for the game after missing practice Wednesday and Friday, though he has a history of missing Wednesday's practices even when he's healthy. If he is limited at all, Fred Jackson and Thomas Rawls, though it should be noted that Lynch hasn't missed a game in four years and consistently plays fully through injuries.
