Chiefs agreed to terms with OG Rok Watkins, formerly of the Rams.
Watkins, 24, is worth a flier on a Chiefs line that's been bitten by the injury bug in training camp. He's a power blocker who needs to keep his weight down.

Tue Jul 30 201316:40Cowboys working out OG Rok Watkins
The Cowboys worked out free agent OG Rok Watkins on Tuesday.
The talented but conditioning-challenged guard was waived by the Rams last week. The Cowboys' interior line remains a trouble spot, so they'd have little to lose by taking a flier on Watkins' upside.

The Rams cut OG Rokevious Watkins on Wednesday because he reported to training camp overweight and out of shape for the second straight year.

Rams waived OG Rok Watkins.
A 2012 fifth-round pick, Watkins struggled with weight issues during his brief stay in St. Louis and was suspended for the season opener after violating the NFL's substance abuse policy. It's possible the Rams decided to cut ties because Watkins showed up to training camp out of shape. Chris Williams is the favorite to start at left guard, with Harvey Dahl returning at right guard.

Sat Jun 8 201313:36Rok Watkins running as 2nd-team right guard
Rams OG Rokevious Watkins has been running as the second-team right guard throughout OTAs.
Watkins figures to be in the mix for the starting left guard spot, but he hasn't seen many reps at the position. The No. 150 overall pick in last year's draft has been working on his conditioning this offseason, but he recently drew a one-game ban for violating the league's substance-abuse policy. Former first-round bust Chris Williams and rookie Barrett Jones are also in the conversation at left guard.

Mon Feb 4 201316:25Watkins, Daniels should be 'ready to go'
According to StLouisRams.com, OG Rokevious Watkins (ankle) and S Matt Daniels (torn ACL) should be "ready to go" for the Rams' offseason program.
The No. 150 pick of last year's draft, Watkins reported to camp 16 pounds overweight, but played 37 snaps in Week 1. He was placed on injured reserve after missing Week 2, however. Watkins will compete for a starting job in camp, but should be just one of many options. He has a ways to go as a pass blocker. Daniels is a pure special teamer.

Rams placed OG Rokevious Watkins (ankle) on injured reserve, ending his season.

Fri Sep 14 201218:41Rookie LG Watkins out for Rams in Week 2
Rams rookie LG Rokevious Watkins (ankle) has been ruled out for Week 2.
The fifth-rounder out of South Carolina isn't much of a pass blocker but has showed some promise as a mauling run blocker at times. St. Louis linemen are dropping like flies in the regular season after emerging from exhibition and training camp action as one of the healthiest teams. Recently re-signed OL Quinn Ojinnaka will likely start in Watkins' place. Steven Jackson is going to have a tough time against the Redskins in Week 2.

Wed Sep 12 201217:24Rokevious Watkins misses practice
Rams LG Rokevious Watkins missed Wednesday's practice with an ankle injury.
Watkins was seen on crutches, and his status for Sunday's game against the Redskins in uncertain. This is another blow to the Rams offensive line, after they already lost C Scott Wells (foot) and LT Rodger Saffold (neck) earlier this week. The bad news continues to pile up for Steven Jackson, who averaged just 2.5 yards per carry in Week 1. He will likely continue to struggle moving forward.

Fri Sep 7 201213:59Rookie Watkins to start at right guard?
Fifth-rounder Rokevious Watkins is "the most likely bet" to open the season as the Rams' starting right guard.
Watkins was drafted to be the future at the position, but it's a stretch to suggest that he's ready now after missing the beginning of training camp. Veteran Rob Turner is the fallback option. With a shaky Barry Richardson starting alongside Watkins, the entire right side of the Rams' offensive line is exploitable.

Sat Aug 4 201213:21Rokevious Watkins gets back in shape
Rams fifth-round OG Rokevious Watkins has been cleared to practice after reporting to camp 16 pounds overweight.
Watkins is apparently back down to his college weight of 328 after a week and a half of conditioning. Watkins should eventually challenge Bryan Mattison for left-guard duties, but for now he's running with the second- and third-team offense. Both guard spots are trouble areas for a Rams' offensive line that was among the worst in the league last season.
