Wed Mar 6 201313:10Silverio diagnosed with sprained right elbow
Rule 5 pick Alfredo Silverio has been diagnosed with a sprained right elbow and has no return timetable.
Silverio is still recovering from Tommy John surgery, so this will be treated with much more caution than a typical elbow sprain. The 25-year-old outfielder will have to be returned to the Dodgers if he doesn't make the Marlins' big league roster. But the Marlins are allowed to keep him on the disabled list for as long as they want.

The Marlins are expected to stash Silverio away on the disabled list to begin the year, as he's still recovering from injuries sustained in a car accident a year ago.
