Miller rushed seven times for 26 yards and caught one pass on two targets for 10 receiving yards Sunday against the Jets in London.
A week after allowing 123 rushing yards to the Eagles, including 108 to Ryan Mathews alone, the Jets clamped down on Miller, who ceded only one running back carry to Jonas Gray. The Jets held a 20-7 lead at the half, forcing the Dolphins to throw 44 times by the end of the fourth quarter. Miller has now failed to rush for even 40 yards in the last three games, and his season-high is 53, which he got back in Week 1. The Dolphins are off in Week 4, allowing fantasy owners a respite from Miller's poor play before he's back out there in Week 6 at Tennessee.

Miller (ankle) rushed for 38 yards on seven carries and caught 3-of-3 targets for 27 yards in Sunday's 41-14 loss to the Bills.
Miller missed a large chunk of the second half last week due to an ankle injury, but was able to gut it out Sunday, although he and the entire Dolphins' offense struggled to get anything going. He entered the game averaging just 2.9 YPC, still hasn't scored a touchdown, and hasn't topped 55 yards rushing in any of Miami's three games. Unfortunately it won't get a lot easier for Miller next week, as he'll take on a stingy Jets' defense.

Miller (ankle) is listed as active for Sunday's game against the Bills.
Miller, who sat out practice Wednesday before returning to limited sessions both Thursday and Friday, is out there Sunday, as expected, and thus set to take aim at a rugged Bills' defense as long as his ankle holds up.
Sun Sep 27 201507:26Miller (ankle) expected to play Sunday against Bills
Miller (ankle) is expected to play Sunday against the Bills, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Miller did not practice Wednesday and was limited the rest of the week due to the ailment, but the team is planning on having him play. It's a bit tough for fantasy owners given that he plays in the second slate of the day, not to mention a matchup against a very tough Bills defense.

Miller (left ankle) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Bills.
Miller sat out practice Wednesday before returning to limited sessions both Thursday and Friday, and though he draws the questionable injury designation in advance of Sunday's 4:25 ET kickoff, Armando Salguero of the Miami Herald relays that the running back is expected to play this weekend. Still, Miller's owners are advised to confirm his Week 3 status in advance of the Dolphins' Week 3 matchup against the rugged Bills' defense.

Miller (left ankle) was listed as a limited participant in practice Thursday, Andrew Abramson of the Palm Beach Post reports.
Per the Sun Sentinel, Miller appeared to be practicing at half speed Thursday, so what the running back is able to do Friday at practice will be telling with regard to his Week 3 status. If Miller is limited at all or can't play Sunday against the Bills, Damien Williams would likely be in line to start at running back for Miami in his place.

Miller (ankle) participated in practice Thursday, Andrew Abramson of the Palm Beach Post reports.
With Miller participating in drills again, the stage is set for the running back to be listed as at least a limited participant once the Dolphins release their official Thursday practice report.

Miller (ankle) did not practice Wednesday.
Adam Beasley of the Miami Herald notes that Miller "has pledged to play" Sunday against the Bills, but perhaps the Dolphins are less sold on that notion than Miller is, given that the team has promoted fellow RB Jonas Gray from the practice squad in advance of Week 3.

Miller (ankle) was spotted on the sideline during the early portion of Wednesday's practice, Andrew Abramson of the Palm Beach Post reports.
Per Armando Salguero of the Miami Herald, the Dolphins consider Miller day-to-day, though the team's addition of running back Jonas Gray to the active roster could hint at some concern with regard to Miller's Week 3 status.

Miller's (ankle) status for Sunday's game against the Bills remains in question with the Dolphins adding Jonas Gray to the active roster Wednesday, Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald reports.
Miller declared he was fine this past Sunday after picking up an ankle injury but the addition of Gray to the 53-man roster suggests the Dolphins think otherwise. The next few days of practice should give a better indication of where Miller stands for Sunday.
Sun Sep 20 201520:39Miller (ankle) said he will be okay
Miller (ankle) said he will be okay, even though he did not return to Sunday's 23-20 loss to the Jaguars, Armando Salguero of the Miami Herald reports.
Miller said he considered going back into the game, but he apparently didn't quite feel good enough. He likely suffered a sprain, as he said after the game that he won't need an MRI, Adam Beasley of the Miami Herald reports. Damian Williams got most of the snaps in Miller's absence, finishing with two carries for five yards and three catches (four targets) for 15 yards and a touchdown.
Sun Sep 20 201518:47Lamar Miller: Hurts Ankle
Miller (ankle) is questionable to return to Sunday's game against the Jaguars, Andrew Abramson of the Palm Beach Post reports.
With Miller ailing, Damien Williams is next up for carries in the Miami backfield in Week 2, and possibly beyond, depending on the severity of Miller's injury.

Miller gained 53 yards on 13 carries and caught his only target for another 22 yards in Sunday's game against the Redskins.
Washington was extremely stingy to opposing running backs last season and Miller's impact was minimized by his team's gameplan in this one, as the Dolphins threw the ball 34 times compared to just 18 rush attempts. Miller has the physical tools to succeed but he will really need to make the most of his touches if Miami continues its pass-happy ways. The fourth-year back will face much easier sledding in Week 2 as the Dolphins square off with the Jaguars.

Miller gained 22 yards on six carries and 31 yards on five receptions (five targets) in Saturday's preseason game against the Falcons.
Locked in as Miami's lead back, Miller had a nice preseason, both as a runner and receiver. The Dolphins were hoping to focus more on the deep passing game this season, but with the offensive line now banged up, Ryan Tannehill may be forced to throw more short passes than previously anticipated. Miller, along with WR Jarvis Landry and TE Jordan Cameron, is one of the obvious candidates to benefit. Of course, it's still probably a net loss for Miller, as a weak offensive line is never good news for a running back.

Offensive coordinator Bill Lazor indicated that who will emerge as the Dolphins' No. 2 running back behind Miller remains undecided, the Palm Beach Post reports.
Currently in contention for the assignment are fifth-round draft pick Jay Ajayi, Damien Williams and LaMichael James. "They are all competing. There's not one guy who's out of it," Lazor said. "That might be the most fun job to watch." Miller, who ESPN.com previously relayed added about 15 pounds of muscle this offseason, remains on track to head the 2015 Miami backfield, with coach Joe Philbin having noted that the Dolphins' coaching staff is confident that Miller -- who never topped 19 carries last season -- is up to the task, while suggesting that he is open to Miller receiving more carries this coming season.

ESPN.com's James Walker relays that the Dolphins hope that rookie Jay Ajayi, Miller's new teammate, can carry some of the team's rushing load this season.
Miller, who rushed for 1,099 yards on 216 carries in 2014, recorded a 5.1 YPC in the process. It's worth noting that he topped out at 19 carries last year, and with the team having added the talented Ajayi in the draft, it appears as though the Dolphins may have designs on continuing to be prudent in terms of Miller's 2015 workload. Miller, who is entering the final year of his contract with Miami, remains atop the team's RB depth chart, which also includes Damien Williams and LaMichael James, but it now looks like he'll face some competition from Ajayi, who fell to the Dolphins in the fifth round of the draft due to concerns with regard to the long-term soundness of his right knee.

Miller had 19 carries for 178 yards and a touchdown during Sunday's 37-24 loss to the Jets.
The highlight of Miller's day came on a 97-yard touchdown run in the third quarter that helped him clinch the first 1,000-yard season of his career. Miller began the season as the starter, but quickly lost his job to Knowshon Moreno, who then suffered a season-ending injury in October. Moreno is a free agent after this season, while Miller has one more year left on his rookie deal, though after his best season in the NFL, Miller could be looking for a contract extension during the offseason.

Miller had 19 carries for 92 rushing yards and a touchdown, as well as five catches on seven targets for 58 receiving yards during Sunday's win over the Vikings.
Miller's 92 yards marked his second-highest total of the season, and he is now 79 yards short of his first 1,000-yard season. However, those yards won't be easy to come by in Week 17 against the Jets, who are allowing the fourth-fewest (87.3) rushing yards per game this season. Miller had 13 carries for 56 yards and a touchdown against New York in Week 13.

Miller had 16 carries for 47 rushing yards and one catch on two targets for 10 receiving yards Sunday against the Patriots.
Miller continues to lead the Dolphins' backfield, but he's failed to reach even 60 rushing yards in four-straight games. Up next is a Week 16 matchup against a Vikings defense allowing the 10th-most rushing yards per game this season.
Sun Dec 7 201420:34Miller had 12 carries for 53 yards and caught 5-of-5 targets for...
Miller had 12 carries for 53 yards and caught 5-of-5 targets for 36 yards in Sunday's 28-13 loss to the Ravens.
Miller got off to a great start, racking up a large chunk of his production in the first quarter. He and the rest of the Dolphins' skill players struggled to generate much offense over the final three quarters though. He continues to be a steady source of production, although he hasn't rushed for over 100 yards since Sept. 21. In Week 15, Miller could find some running lanes against an average Patriots' rush defense.
