He was cleared to make room for the newly-acquired Jack Wilson on the active roster. Lugo, 35, was predictably worthless during his time with the Braves, batting .136/.208/.136 over 48 plate appearances. We would be surprised to see him on another major league roster again.

Fri Mar 4 201118:52Julio Lugo wants to play in 2011
Free agent infielder Julio Lugo has told ESPN Deportes' Enrique Rojas that he hasn't given up hope of finding a team for the 2011 season.
"I want to play, I'm healthy and I won't lose my hopes that somebody will call me at any moment," said Lugo. "I've been working out everyday to be ready if somebody remembers my name and believes that I can help." Lugo, 35, said he received a few minor league offers over the winter but passed because he was waiting for something better to come along. He's certainly not going to get a major league contract, but perhaps when some team has a rash of infield injuries they'll give him a call. He hit just .249/.298/.282 over 241 at-bats with the Orioles in 2010.
