Chris Cotillo of MLB Daily Dish reports that several teams remain in talks with free agent infielder Jamey Carroll.
The Rays, Rangers, Indians, Blue Jays, Royals and Padres have all expressed at least some level of interest at some point this offseason. With this strong level of interest, it wouldn't be surprising for the 39-year-old to secure a major league deal. Wed Nov 13 201323:45Carroll drawing 'significant interest' as FA
Jamey Carroll is drawing "significant interest" on the free agent market, according to Mike Berardino of the St. Paul Pioneer Press.
Carroll, 39, elected to become a free agent in October. There was some thought he might retire after batting .211/.267/.251 last year between the Twins and Royals, but apparently that's not the case. It's hard to believe the interest he's receiving is "significant," but it seems as though he'll at least draw enough interest to stick around for another year.

Jamey Carroll went 0-for-3 Thursday against the Phillies.
The veteran has been starting almost every night for the past month due to injuries, but he's done nothing with those at-bats. Now batting .210/.274/.234 over 124 at-bats, Minnesota would do well to banish Carroll from the leadoff spot permanently.

Wed May 15 201316:46Jamey Carroll goes 3-for-4 for Twins
Jamey Carroll went 3-for-4 with a double and two runs scored Wednesday against the White Sox.
Carroll also knocked in his fourth run of the season. The veteran was starting just his 11th game, though he has played a bit more of late. As rarely as homers and steals come for him, he needs to be an everyday guy to be useful in AL-only leagues.

Fri Mar 29 201317:01Jamey Carroll goes 2-for-4 for Twins
Jamey Carroll went 2-for-4 with two runs scored in the Twins' 8-3 victory over the Red Sox on Friday.
Carroll has had a decent enough spring, but he's getting bumped from the starting lineup by Brian Dozier anyway. He still figures to receive considerable playing time, but with his complete lack of power and speed, he needs to be an everyday guy to maintain any AL-only value at all.

Jamey Carroll had a great day at the dish on Friday, going 4-for-4 including the game winning single in a 6-5 victory over the Red Sox in 10 innings.
Darin Mastroianni led off the 10th with a double, and after Brian Dozier was unable to sacrifice him to second, Carroll stepped up and singled him home to give the Twins the lead and the eventual game. Carroll has been a disappointing acquisition for the Twins, hitting just .243 with no homers and 31 RBI on the season, but came through in a big way on Friday evening.
