Leach signed a minor league contract with the Brewers on Monday that includes an invite to spring training.
Leach spent most of 2014 at Triple-A Nashville, posting a 3.28 ERA and 1.31 WHIP with 69 strikeouts over 60.1 innings. He will get a shot at a roster spot with a strong spring training, though it would be just the second stint in his career on a major league team.

Leach was given the boot after posting an ugly 7.02 ERA over his first 10 appearances with Triple-A Albuquerque this season. The 29-year-old left-hander compiled a 5.75 ERA and 19/12 K/BB ratio over 20 1/3 innings with the Dodgers in 2009 and spent last season in Japan. He'll look to latch on elsewhere.

Leach pitched in Japan last season and posted an ugly 5.95 ERA over eight starts with the Yokohama BayStars. The 29-year-old left-hander compiled a 5.75 ERA and 19/12 K/BB ratio over 20 1/3 innings with the Dodgers in 2009 and is likely to serve as minor league depth.

We learned yesterday that the Yokohama BayStars signed Leach, so this is something of a formality. The 28-year-old left-hander posted a 5.75 ERA and 19/12 K/BB ratio over 20 1/3 innings with the Dodgers in 2009, but split last season between Double-A Chattanooga and Triple-A Albuquerque.
