Tue Jul 1 201423:59Chavez scores three runs in rout of Astros
Endy Chavez had a double and two walks, scoring all three times he reached base, in Tuesday's monster victory over the Astros.
Chavez scored runs in the first, sixth and seventh innings as the Mariners plated 13 runs on the evening. Since June 23, the outfielder is batting .370 (10-for-27) with seven runs scored and five RBI. The M's are playing good baseball and playing time is hard to come by in a crowded Mariners outfield, but Chavez will likely command more at-bats going forward if he continues to produce at a similar clip.

Sat Jun 28 201401:34Endy Chavez goes 2-for-4, homers
Making his third career start at DH, Endy Chavez went 2-for-4 and hit his first homer of the year Friday against the Indians.
Chavez went 1,073 career games without ever starting at DH before doing so three times this month for the Mariners. Obviously, they'd prefer to have Corey Hart or Logan Morrison in that spot, but with Hart and Justin Smoak on the DL, Morrison has been the primary first baseman of late. Chavez has gone 8-for-16 with five RBI in his last four starts for the Mariners. Obviously, that's a big boost for the team in the short term. For the long haul, it wouldn't be so great if he continued to receive playing time.

Sun Jun 15 201420:39Endy Chavez doubles, scores in win over TEX
Endy Chavez went 2-for-5 with a double and a run scored in Sunday's win over the Rangers.
Despite the Mariners being thin on outfielders, Sunday's start was Chavez' first in three days as he's struggled at the plate recently. He made his case for another start, as he doubled to lead off the first inning before singling and scoring in the fifth. The 36-year-old is not an option for fantasy purposes.

Sun Jun 8 201417:21Chavez has two hits, RBI leading off Sunday
Endy Chavez went 2-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored in a win over the Rays on Sunday.
Chavez broke a scoreless tie in the ninth inning with an RBI single, and he later scored on James Jones' triple. Chavez had two hits in a start Saturday as well, possibly earning a few more starts in the coming week with his good hitting. He's still nothing more than a part-time player, and can be ignored for fantasy purposes.
