The deal includes an invitation to spring training. The 32-year-old hasn't pitched in the majors since 2012, posting a 4.19 ERA and 42/17 K/BB ratio in 43 innings between the Blue Jays' Double-A and Triple-A affiliates this past season. He'll try to win a bullpen job with the Cubs next spring.
