Thu Jul 17 201416:46Ryan Adams gets 100 game suspension
Ryan Adams has been suspended 100 games for his second positive test for an amphetamine.
Adams was released by the Dodgers earlier this month, so he'll begin serving the suspension once he latches on with a new organization. The 27-year-old hasn't appeared in the majors since 2011 and is strictly minor league fodder at this point in his career.

Dodgers signed 2B Ryan Adams to a minor league contract.

Wed Sep 21 201121:00Ryan Adams to have hernia surgery
Ryan Adams will undergo surgery soon to repair a sports hernia.
It's an injury Adams has dealt with all season, though it was originally diagnosed as a groin injury. "It's just not getting any better and I talked to [manager Buck Showalter], and it was just one of those things, 'Why wait another week? Why not just get it done now?'" Adams said. The recovery period for the procedure isn't long, and Adams should be fine by spring training.

Tue Aug 23 201108:29Adams to draw starts at 2B for Orioles
Ryan Adams is expected to draw frequent starts at second base down the stretch for Baltimore.
Adams was promoted to the majors on Sunday after posting a .283 batting average, 10 home runs and 37 RBI in 93 games with Triple-A Norfolk. The 24-year-old is probably worth consideration in deeper AL-only leagues because of his mild power potential.

Orioles recalled INF Ryan Adams from Triple-A Norfolk.
He went 5-for-22 (.227) with one RBI in his first taste of the big leagues earlier this season. The 24-year-old infielder, a second-round draft pick in 2006, isn't worth a flier in AL-only leagues.

Sat Jun 18 201100:48Orioles option INF Adams to minors
Orioles optioned INF Ryan Adams to Triple-A Norfolk.
It's long overdue. Robert Andino has drawn most of the starts at second base during Brian Roberts' absence, so Adams is much better off getting regular playing time in the minor leagues. The 24-year-old infielder went 5-for-22 (.227) with one RBI in his first taste of the big leagues.

Fri Jun 3 201110:32Ryan Adams likely to be sent down
The Baltimore Sun's Jeff Zrebiec thinks second baseman Ryan Adams will soon be returned to Triple-A Norfolk.
Adams has started just three of 12 games since being recalled on May 20, and Orioles manager Buck Showalter appears to prefer Robert Andino at second base during Brian Roberts' absence. A second-round draft pick in 2006, Adams isn't benefitting from sitting on the Orioles bench.

Fri May 20 201115:38Ryan Adams getting the start on Friday
Recently recalled infielder Ryan Adams will make his major-league debut on Friday against the Nationals, batting ninth while starting at second base.
The start could be first of a couple in a row for the 24-year-old Adams while Brian Roberts is on the disabled list with concussion-like symptoms. However, he's very unlikely to be worth a flier in AL-only leagues.

Fri May 20 201112:30O's set to recall Ryan Adams
Orioles purchased the contract of 2B Ryan Adams from Triple-A Norfolk.
A second-round draft pick in 2006, Adams could be in line to make his major-league debut on Friday when the Orioles take on the Nationals. His call-up is a result of Brian Roberts' placement on the 7-day disabled list with concussion-like symptoms. In 152 at-bats for Norfolk this season, Adams was hitting .303 with two home runs, eight RBI and three stolen bases. His stay in the big leagues will most likely be brief.
