Tue Mar 19 201321:04Rapada's status for Opening Day in question
Clay Rapada (shoulder), who had been shut down for nearly two weeks with left shoulder bursitis, has progressed to playing catch.
While he doesn't need a lot of spring innings to get himself ready for Opening Day, his status for the beginning of the season remains in question. The 32-year-old lefty registered a stellar 2.82 ERA, 1.20 WHIP and 38/17 K/BB ratio over 70 appearances with the Yankees in 2012. He's nothing more than a left-handed specialist though, and holds no value in most fantasy leagues.
