Horne is also the Chiefs' No. 3, "emergency" quarterback behind Tyler Palko and rookie Ricky Stanzi. A former undrafted free agent from UMass, Horne has zero career receptions through two seasons.

Horne was an undrafted free agent out of UMass last season that has spent the majority of his NFL career on the Chiefs' practice squad. He'll contribute on special teams if he's active Sunday.

Chiefs signed WR Jeremy Horne, TE Cody Slate, OT Robert Greenwood, OG Darryl Harris, and LBs Justin Cole, Micah Johnson, and Pierre Walters to reserve/future contracts.
Horne played opposite Giants' preseason sensation Victor Cruz at UMass in 2009. He lost out to Verran Tucker for the final receiver spot coming out of camp and spent the majority of the season on the practice squad.
