Ken Griffey Jr. has been named a special consultant for the Mariners.

The Mariners have been talking with Griffey about taking on a special position with the club since last summer, and it sounds like the now-retired outfielder is finally ready to accept. It's good to have "The Kid" back in baseball, no matter the job title.
