Earl Boykins is hoping for another shot in the NBA this season.
The miniature point guard is working out in Denver and "waiting for a call," but his market has been dry to date after playing last season with the Rockets.

The Rockets will sign Earl Boykins for the rest of the season.
The pint-sized point guard won't carry any fantasy value.

Wed Apr 4 201214:13Earl Boykins to sign another 10-day contract
Earl Boykins will sign another 10-day contract with the Rockets on Thursday.
It's unclear if Boykins will eventually be re-signed for the duration of the season, as that probably depends upon whether (or how soon) Kyle Lowry returns from his bacterial infection.

Tue Mar 27 201201:44Boykins instrumental right away for Rockets
Earl Boykins didn't waste any time after being signed by the Rockets to a 10-day contract on Monday, scoring 10 points on 2-of-6 shooting (6-of-6 from the foul line) with one rebound, five assists, and a steal in 22 minutes off the bench.
Should Goran Dragic's ankle injury worsen overnight, then Boykins could have some spot-starting value on Tuesday against the Mavs. Dragic was pretty expressive about playing on Tuesday after the game.

Mon Mar 26 201215:21Report: Rockets agree to terms with Boykins
Rockets agreed to terms with PG Earl Boykins on a 10-day contract, a source tells Yahoo.
With Kyle Lowry (bacterial infection) nowhere near a return and Kevin Martin (shoulder) also sidelined, the Rockets are desperate. The 5'5/133 Boykins has been out of the league all season, but did manage 7.2 points per game in 57 appearances with the Bucks last season. He'll be support behind Goran Dragic and Courtney Lee.

Sun Oct 23 201111:45Earl Boykins coaching inner city team
Earl Boykins has been working as an assistant coach for the Colorado Miners, an inner-city boys' basketball team, during the lockout.
Boykins' deal with the Bucks has expired, but it's possible that he could still latch onto an NBA roster as a backup guard. The second-shortest person ever to play in the NBA, at 5'5", he's no stranger to overcoming adversity.

Veteran guard Earl Boykins, who had his first summer league canceled by the 1998 lockout, said that the lockout is hardest on young players.
"You can work out all you want," said Boykins. "You can even work out against NBA guys. But until you get into an NBA training camp situation, it's totally different." NBA rookies already trend toward inconsistency, and this summer's lack of interaction with teammates and coaches certainly won't help.

Thu Jan 27 201100:23Boykins heats up late for 20 points in win
Earl Boykins hit 7-of-11 shots and scored 11 of his 20 points in the fourth quarter as the Bucks beat the Hawks Wednesday.
He also had three assists in 26 minutes, and while he's wildly inconsistent, he does this once or twice a week. That should stop happening once Brandon Jennings (foot) and John Salmons (hip) are back from their injuries.
Sun Jan 23 201101:18Boykins scores 23 points off the bench
Earl Boykins scored 23 points off the bench on Saturday, hitting 8-of-22 shots from the field (including three treys) with three rebounds, three assists, four steals, and a block in 36 minutes of action.
While Boykins came to play, Keyon Dooling was not able to follow up his big Friday night, scoring seven points on 2-of-10 shooting with four assists and a three in 24 minutes. Unfortunately for both of them, the most recent Brandon Jennings (foot) report has him practicing Tuesday and possibly returning Wednesday. If you're relying on either of them, the end is near.
Fri Jan 14 201122:14Earl Boykins hands out 11 assists in loss
Earl Boykins came off the bench for eight points, four rebounds and 11 assists in Friday's tough loss to the Sixers.
Starter Keyon Dooling had 12 points and four assists, and both players are going to take a serious hit when Brandon Jennings returns in the next couple weeks. Both players have been very inconsistent since Jennings went down.
Sat Jan 8 201100:19Boykins scores 14 in loss to Heat
Earl Boykins hit 5-of-11 shots for 14 points and four assists in Friday's OT loss to the Heat.
Boykins is having a decent week and remains a low-end possibility to start at guard for fantasy teams as long as Brandon Jennings is out for the Bucks.
Wed Jan 5 201101:57Boykins scores six points off the bench
Earl Boykins followed up his 26-point outing on Saturday with just six points on 2-of-8 shooting (no threes) to go with one rebound and no other statistics in 14 minutes off the bench on Tuesday.
He has the ability to score in bunches, but is much too inconsistent to be trusted in fantasy leagues. Stay away for all intensive purposes.
Sun Jan 2 201103:00Boykins scores season-high 26 points
Earl Boykins returned from a one-game suspension for bumping a referee on Saturday, and scored a season-high 26 points on 9-of-16 shooting (including a three) with three rebounds, six assists, and no steals or blocks in 32 minutes.
Starter Keyon Dooling scored seven points with four rebounds and three assists, and while Boykins looks like the player to own after tonight, a couple of things temper our excitement. One, the Mavs played zone most of the night and Boykins is a zone-killer. The Mavs also used fellow little man J.J. Barea in response to Boykins' presence, which ultimately allowed Boykins to stay on the court longer, too. Boykins deserves a long look for his value over the next couple of weeks, but we're not calling him a must-add player and Dooling may still be the player to own.
Sun Jan 2 201101:34Earl Boykins returned to action on Saturday January 1
Earl Boykins returned to action on Saturday January 1.
Sat Jan 1 201118:50Earl Boykins returns from suspension
Earl Boykins will return for the Bucks on Saturday after serving a one-game suspension.
Milwaukee can use all the help they can get with Brandon Jennings out, especially on offense, and Boykins has been effective in recent games. He's a marginal fantasy player, however, little more than a temporary option in deep leagues.
Tue Dec 28 201017:27Boykins suspended for contact w/ officials
Bucks PG Earl Boykins has been suspended one game for "making intentional contact with a game official."
The veteran guard won't play vs. the Bulls on Tuesday, leaving Keyon Dooling as the team's only viable point guard. Boykins has been playing well in Brandon Jennings' absence but probably isn't worth owning in average leagues.

Fri Dec 24 201000:44Boykins has second consecutive strong game
Earl Boykins played well on Thursday for the second game in a row, with 19 points and little else in 29 minutes.
After barely getting on the court most of the season, Boykins has played well filling in for Brandon Jennings. He was part of the Bucks getting the lead late in the game, and Keyon Dooling was on the bench. He is worth keeping an eye on, but don't drop someone useful to get him just yet.
Wed Dec 22 201003:01Boykins scores season-high 22 points
Earl Boykins scored a season-high 22 points off the bench on Tuesday, hitting 8-of-12 shots from the field (including four treys) with three rebounds and two assists.
He did much of his damage during the fourth quarter as the game got sloppy, and we still think that Keyon Dooling (eight points, five assists, 24 minutes) is the player to own between the two. If Boykins does this one more time, however, then it will be time to give him a look.
Thu Aug 19 201020:49Bucks sign PG Boykins to one-year deal
The Bucks signed point guard Earl Boykins to a one-year, $1.3 million deal on Thursday.
He will compete with Keyon Dooling for second-string minutes behind Brandon Jennings, and needless to say he is a longshot for having fantasy value.
