Feierabend accepted an outright assignment to Triple-A Round Rock on Monday, Evan Grant of the Dallas Morning News reports.
After the Rangers designated him for assignment last Friday, Feierabend cleared waivers, as expected. In six outings with the Rangers in July, he surrendered five runs on 12 hits and two walks to go with four strikeouts in 7.1 innings. Thus, don't expect a call-up before rosters expand in September, if at all.

The Rangers designated Feierabend for assignment Friday
Feierabend returned to the majors July 12 following a five-year absence, and went on to give up five runs on 12 hits while fanning four in 7.1 innings out of the Rangers' bullpen. Right-hander Phil Klein was called up in the corresponding move, while Feierabend will now be forced to decide whether to accept an outright assignment to the minors or become a free agent.

Mariners sent LHP Ryan Feierabend outright to Triple-A Tacoma.
