Fri Apr 1218:34Josh Giddey Out On Friday
Oklahoma City Thunder guard Josh Giddey (hip) won't play on Friday versus the Bucks. The 21-year-old nearly had a triple-double in Wednesday's blowout over the San Antonio Spurs. But he'll sit this one out because of a bruised hip, meaning his next chance to suit up will be in Sunday's regular-season finale. With that said, Giddey's absence will open up minutes for Isaiah Joe and Cason Wallace. However, both men are still hard to trust from a DFS standpoint.

Fri Apr 1216:01Josh Giddey Uncertain For Friday
Oklahoma City Thunder guard Josh Giddey (hip) is listed as questionable ahead of Friday's game against the Milwaukee Bucks. Giddey is a late addition to the injury report due to a right hip contusion. Luguentz Dort figures to move into the starting five and have increased playing time if Giddey sits out. Cason Wallace is also a candidate for increased playing time, but Dort is the better streaming option between the two of them.

Mon Apr 810:04Josh Giddey Bags Triple-Double Versus Charlotte
Oklahoma City Thunder guard Josh Giddey put his talents on full display on Sunday versus Charlotte, leading his squad to a 121-118 victory by recording his eighth career triple-double. Giddey scored 20 points on 7-for-15 shooting and picked up 13 rebounds and 13 assists, both of which were game-high marks. Two of Giddey's eight triple-doubles have come across the last five games. The versatile Australian has had his strongest stretch of the season lately, benefiting from Shai Gilgeous-Alexander's (quadriceps) absence. The Thunder leader has missed six of the past seven games. Giddey has posted 19.0 points, 7.4 rebounds, and 6.7 assists in seven games without Gilgeous-Alexander this season.

Tue Dec 26 202318:03Josh Giddey Back In Tuesday's Lineup
Oklahoma City Thunder guard/forward Josh Giddey (ankle) is available to make his return from a one-game absence for Tuesday's game against the Minnesota Timberwolves. Giddey left last Thursday's contest with a sprained left ankle and proceeded to miss Saturday's tilt versus the Los Angeles Lakers with the injury, but he is good to go on Tuesday. The 2021 No. 6 overall pick broke out in 2022-23 but has taken a step back on a talented Thunder team in Year 3, watching each of his points (11.8), rebounds (6.0) and assists (4.3) per game plus his field-goal percentage (43.6%) drop significantly from a season ago. Giddey hasn't reached 30 minutes in a single game since Nov. 12, either. Defense-first rookie Cason Wallace will likely revert back to OKC's bench on Tuesday following his 24-minute spot start against the Lakers, and season-long fantasy managers can deploy Giddey despite facing the squad with the NBA's best defensive efficiency rating (104.4).

Fri Dec 22 202309:48Josh Giddey Exits Thursday In Second Quarter
Oklahoma City Thunder guard Josh Giddey (ankle) saw 14 minutes on the floor against the Los Angeles Clippers on Thursday before he sprained his ankle in the second quarter. After going back to the locker room, Cason Wallace took his place in the lineup and Giddey was unable to return. He finished the game with 11 points, four assists, three rebounds, and five turnovers before exiting. If Giddey has to miss extended time, Wallace would be the number-one streaming option while Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Jalen Williams will see bumps in production and usage as well.

Thu Apr 13 202309:58Josh Giddey Nearly Posts Triple-Double In Win Over New Orleans
Oklahoma City Thunder guard Josh Giddey looked like a man amongst boys even though he was one of the youngest players on the floor on Wednesday. The 20-year-old Aussie finished the game with 31 points, 10 assists, nine rebounds, and one block on 11-for-22 shooting from the floor and 3-for-7 from deep. He was ready to get into Josh Richardson's face after a questionable play and he showed an edge to his game that we've yet to see. Giddey could be a big-time DFS play in their next play-in game against the Timberwolves.

Wed Mar 15 202310:25Josh Giddey Collects His Fourth Triple-Double Of The Season
Oklahoma City Thunder guard Josh Giddey notched his fourth triple-double of the season and the eighth of his career on Tuesday in a 121-107 win over the Brooklyn Nets. The former lottery pick out of Australia registered 15 points, 13 rebounds, 10 assists, and two steals on 7-for-19 shooting and 1-for-3 from beyond the arc. Giddey's scoring abilities have improved as his shooting efficiency has also gone up since his rookie year. He's ranked in the top 100 of nine-category leagues for his value outside of just scoring.

Wed Jan 4 202314:28Josh Giddey Leads Thunder In Blowout Win Over Boston
Oklahoma City Thunder guard Josh Giddey led the team in scoring and was one of seven players in double-digits in the team's 150-117 win over the Boston Celtics on Tuesday. The young Aussie registered 25 points, five rebounds, five assists, and two steals while shooting 10-for-15 from the floor and 3-for-5 from deep in just 24 minutes of playing time. This was Giddey's third 20-point game in a row while he has supplied five or more rebounds and at least one steal in each game as well.

Fri Dec 30 202211:08Josh Giddey Records Double-Double In Losing Effort
Oklahoma City Thunder guard Josh Giddey turned in a solid performance during his team's Thursday night loss to the Charlotte Hornets. The second-year guard out of Australia posted 21 points, 10 rebounds, three assists, and one steal while shooting 7-for-15 and a perfect 7-for-7 from the line. Giddey has seen improvements to a lot of his numbers across the board except for assists. For fantasy managers, he's been providing a great number of rebounds from a guard, but his assist numbers are only hovering around 5.5 per game, which leaves a bit to be desired from an ADP of 59.4.

Wed Dec 21 202214:37Josh Giddey, Darius Bazley Upgraded To Questionable
Oklahoma City Thunder guard/forward Josh Giddey (illness) and forward Darius Bazley (illness) have been upgraded to questionable for Wednesday's game against Portland. Both players were ruled out for the contest on Tuesday, but they took part in the shootaround and appear to have a decent chance of returning to the lineup. Bazley has missed three games while Giddey has been out for the last two. Aaron Wiggins has been starting in Giddey's absence and Isaiah Joe has seen more minutes. Both players have done well, but their fantasy value will be limited if Giddey is able to return. Bazley has been mostly a bench player this season and hasn't been much of a factor in fantasy hoops.

Tue Dec 20 202218:55Josh Giddey Will Remain Sidelined Wednesday
Oklahoma City Thunder guard Josh Giddey (illness) will sit Wednesday's game against the Portland Trail Blazers. Giddey will miss his third straight game due to a lingering illness and being ruled out over a day in advance is not very promising. Aaron Wiggins is in line for another start while Shai Gilgeous-Alexander's usage rate should be through the roof. Gilgeous-Alexander should be a popular target in Wednesday's DFS slate.

Sat Dec 17 202219:12Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Josh Giddey Out On Saturday
Oklahoma City Thunder guards Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (back) and Josh Giddey (illness) have been ruled out for Saturday's game against the Memphis Grizzlies. This is not good news as the Thunder will be without their starting backcourt on Saturday. Luckily, Luguentz Dort (hand) will play and is expected to carry this offense. Tre Mann, Isaiah Joe, and Aaron Wiggins will all see more playing time as well with Gilgeous-Alexander and Giddey sidelined. Between the three players, Mann has the highest upside and is the most reliable streaming choice.

Sat Nov 26 202207:55Josh Giddey Flirts With A Triple-Double
Oklahoma City Thunder guard/forward Josh Giddey had a near miss on a triple-double Friday, completing a 123-119 overtime win against Chicago with 10 points, 13 rebounds and nine assists. He also had one block with five turnovers in 38 minutes. Giddey shot an underwhelming 5-for-13 from the field, but his scoring wasn't really needed as Shai Gilgeous-Alexander had another 30-point outing. Giddey is a very versatile guy who can rack up a triple-double with ease, although he has managed to get just one in 2022-23. The 20-year-old isn't very far away from averaging one, though, putting up 14.6 points with 7.4 rebounds and 6.0 assists. It's going to be a battle of exciting backcourts on Saturday versus Houston, and it's a great matchup for Giddey and Gilgeous-Alexander, as the Rockets own the third least efficient defense in the league.

Mon Nov 14 202209:06Josh Giddey Posts A Special Triple-Double
Oklahoma City Thunder guard/forward Josh Giddey registered his first triple-double of the season in Sunday's win over the Knicks, joining Wilt Chamberlain as the only other player in NBA history to record triple-doubles in their first two games at the famous Madison Square Garden. Giddey posted 24 points, 10 rebounds and 12 assists on superb 10-for-14 shooting from the field. He sank two triples with three attempts and committed three turnovers in 37 minutes. The Australian talent is off to a bit of a slow start to the season, but he missed some time with an injury and Giddey's recent performances show that he has started to get back to his best. He has averaged 22.3 points with 11.3 rebounds and 7.7 assists in his past three outings.

Thu Nov 10 202210:40Josh Giddey Falls Short Of Triple-Double
Oklahoma City Thunder guard Josh Giddey cashed in a great night on the glass but just came short in the assists department for his first triple-double of the season. In the team's double-overtime loss to the Milwaukee Bucks, the second-year guard registered 18 points, 15 rebounds, and 6 assists. He did struggle from three in this game as he missed all four of his three-point attempts, but he shot 9-for-19 overall. Giddey is a great fantasy asset to have if any managers need a player that does a little of everything.

Tue Nov 1 202218:59Josh Giddey Surprisingly Active Tuesday
Oklahoma City Thunder guard Josh Giddey (ankle) will play Tuesday against the Orlando Magic. Giddey was originally ruled out over a day in advance, but upgraded to questionable before ultimately being listed as active and ready to play. The Thunder did this last week with Shai Gilgeous-Alexander so this could become a new normal from Oklahoma City. With Giddey back in action, Aaron Wiggins, Tre Mann and Jalen Williams will likely take a hit.

Wed Oct 26 202215:00Josh Giddey Set To Miss Another Game Thursday
Oklahoma City Thunder guard Josh Giddey (ankle) has been ruled out of Thursday's matchup against the Clippers. He sprained his right ankle in a meeting with Minnesota last weekend and already sat out Tuesday's clash with the Clippers. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander had a monster game against his former team Tuesday night and is set to shine again. Tre Mann was also outstanding on Tuesday with 25 points and should remain a starter for OKC until Giddey can make it back to the court.

Mon Oct 24 202221:47Josh Giddey Will Sit Out Tuesday's Contest
Oklahoma City Thunder guard Josh Giddey (ankle) has been ruled out ahead of Tuesday's matchup with the Los Angeles Clippers. Giddey sprained his right ankle in Sunday's loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves and is already being ruled out more than a day in advance, which does not bode well for his status moving forward. Giddey's absence should pave the way for more minutes for Tre Mann and Aaron Wiggins. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (hip) will also miss the game, so Aleksej Pokusevski may also see some time running the point. Mann has three-point upside, while Pokusevski is more of an all-around player for fantasy purposes.

Sun Oct 23 202222:18Josh Giddey Exits Game With Ankle Sprain
Oklahoma City Thunder guard Josh Giddey (ankle) exited Sunday night's game in the second half after spraining his right ankle. He stayed on the court for a while but was noticeably running gingerly. He finished the game with 10 points, two rebounds and five assists through 22 minutes of playing time. The Thunder are likely to be overly cautious with any injuries this season. Competing for a title probably isn't in the cards this year, so fantasy managers should check back for any updates on whether Giddey will be playing in the next game.

Sat Oct 15 202222:08OKC Exercises Option On Josh Giddey
Oklahoma City Thunder guard Josh Giddey had his third-year option picked up by the team on Saturday. The No. 6 overall selection of the 2021 NBA Draft averaged 12.5 points, 7.8 boards, and 6.4 assists in 54 games. Unfortunately, his rookie campaign ended early due to a hip injury. Giddey is now healthy heading into the 2022-23 season, where he will reclaim his role in the starting lineup. Without question, the 20-year-old should provide points, assists, and rebounds for category managers. However, he shot 26.3% from deep last season, so that will need to improve.
