Tue Sep 1 201510:02Boykin released by Panthers on Tuesday
Boykin was released by the Panthers on Tuesday, Jonathan Jones of the Charlotte Observer reports.
Even with Kelvin Benjamin (knee) out for the season, Boykin was buried on the depth chart in Carolina, behind the likes of Devin Funchess, Philly Brown, Jerricho Cotchery, Ted Ginn and Brenton Bersin. Boykin's former team in Green Bay might be interested in a reunion.

Boykin caught 1-of-3 targets for 16 yards in Friday's preseason opener against the Bills.
Boykin didn't see a target until the second half, working behind Kelvin Benjamin, Ted Ginn, Jerricho Cotchery, Philly Brown and Devin Funchess. The former Packer is merely hoping to earn one of the final roster spots.
Fri Mar 27 201514:37Jarrett Boykin: Signs With Panthers
Boykin signed a one-year contract with the Panthers on Friday, ESPN's David Newton reports.
Boykin caught just three passes for the Packers in 2014, after hauling in 49-of-82 targets for 681 yards and three touchdowns the previous season. He did well to land with a team that lacks complements to Kelvin Benjamin and Greg Olsen, but Boykin will still have to prove in training camp that he's worthy of a role in the Carolina offense. With Benjamin locked in as the No. 1 wideout, the likes of Boykin, Jerricho Cotchery, Philly Brown, Ted Ginn and Brenton Bersin could all be part of a wide-open competition for snaps. Of course, the Panthers may still opt to address the position in April's draft.
Tue Mar 10 201517:07Boykin did not receive restricted free agent tender from Packers
Boykin did not receive a restricted free agent tender from the Packers, making him an unrestricted free agent, Tom Silverstein of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.
While this is perhaps a bit insulting for a player just one year removed from a 49-catch season, the Packers really have no need of Boykin, who was replaced by Davante Adams as the team's No. 3 wide receiver. Boykin may need to compete for a roster spot wherever he lands, after catching just 3-of-12 targets for 23 yards in 2014.

Boykin caught three passes for 23 yards while appearing in 13 games during the 2014 season.
Boykin had some sleeper value after racking up 681 yards in 2013, but he was quickly surpassed on the depth chart by Davanate Adams, and managed just one catch after Week 3. Boykin is not even a lock to make the roster next season, but if fellow receiver Randall Cobb departs in free agency, he could find himself back in the third receiver spot to open the 2015 campaign.

Boykin caught one pass for six yards in Sunday's victory over the Patriots.
Boykin had not caught a pass since Week 3, but he was able to get his name on the score sheet Sunday. Boykin still sits fourth on the list among Packers receivers, so his fantasy value will remain minimal if the three receivers ahead of him stay healthy.

Boykin played on just eight of 68 snaps in Sunday's loss to the Saints.
Boykin did not pick up a yard on a night where Packers quarterbacks threw for 426 of them, so it's clear where he stands in the offense at this point. Meanwhile, Davante Adams, who replaced Boykin as the Packers' third receiver, caught seven passes for 75 yards and played on 96 percent of the snaps in Sunday's game. Boykin is not getting his spot back anytime soon.
Sun Oct 19 201417:17Boykin (groin) not targeted in Sunday's win over Panthers
Boykin (groin) was not targeted in Sunday's win over the Panthers.
If you didn't know that Boykin was active for this game, you probably would have thought he was still out with the groin injury. Davante Adams continued to operate as the No. 3 receiver, scoring on a 21-yard touchdown strike, and Boykin's role in the offense seems to have evaporated.
Sun Oct 19 201411:39Boykin (groin) active for Sunday's game against Panthers
Boykin (groin) is active for Sunday's game against the Panthers.
Boykin was limited in practice all week, but will see his first taste of action since Week 3. Although he'll be suiting up, Davante Adams seems to have taken over as the Packers' No. 3 wideout in his absence, making it unclear how many targets will be heading Boykin's way. Until his role is more clearly established and he's operating at closer to 100 percent, Boykin is likely not a high-percentage fantasy play in most formats.

Boykin (groin) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against Carolina, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel's Tyler Dunne reports.
Boykin has a chance to play for the first time since Week 3, but even if he does make his way onto the active roster Sunday, he may be operating at less than 100 percent. Plus, there is a very real chance he has been leapfrogged by rookie Davante Adams during his injury absence.
Thu Oct 16 201417:25Boykin (groin) limited in Thursday's practice
Boykin (groin) was limited in Thursday's practice, the Packers' official site reports.
Boykin is getting closer to a return, though he'll likely find that he's been surpassed by rookie Davante Adams whenever he does make his comeback. We should know more about his status after Green Bay releases Friday's injury report.
Wed Oct 15 201415:41Boykin (groin) limited practice participant Wednesday
Boykin (groin) was a limited practice participant Wednesday, Paul Imig of FOX Sports Wisconsin reports.
Boykin will be eased into action during his first practices since sustaining knee and groin injuries in Week 3. No matter, he remains a bit player in a Packers passing game that realized the potential of wideout Davante Adams this past Sunday, when the rookie corralled six balls (on eight targets) for 77 yards. It remains to be seen, though, if Boykin can attain active status for Sunday's game versus Carolina.
Wed Oct 15 201413:46Boykin (groin) took part in practice Wednesday
Boykin (groin) took part in practice Wednesday, Jason Wilde of ESPN Wisconsin reports.
Boykin's activity level is unknown, but the appearance bodes well for his first game action since Week 3, when he suffered knee and groin concerns. Upon his return, though, he's unlikely to be much more than the fourth option in the Packers' passing attack due to the emergence of rookie receiver Davante Adams this past Sunday in Miami (six receptions for 77 yards on eight targets). In any case, keep a close eye on Boykin's practice participation as the weekend draws closer in order to gauge his chances of taking the field Sunday versus the Panthers.
Fri Oct 10 201413:10Boykin (groin) out for Sunday's game against Miami
Boykin (groin) is out for Sunday's game against Miami, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel's Tyler Dunne reports.
This will be a third straight absence for Boykin, who has just two catches for 17 yards in three games this season. Rookie Davante Adams will man the third receiver spot once again.
Wed Oct 8 201413:48Boykin (groin/knee) didn't practice Wednesday
Boykin (groin/knee) didn't practice Wednesday, Jason Wilde of ESPN Wisconsin reports.
With two absences already on the ledger due to an injured groin and knee, Boykin is in danger of sitting out once again Sunday at Miami. Before coming down with the ailments, though, he seemingly had been passed in the pecking order at wideout by rookie Davante Adams. His standing on the Packers aside, Boykin may have to take part in some capacity at practice this week in order to be considered active in Week 6.
Fri Oct 3 201412:30Boykin (knee) could miss Packers' Week 6 matchup with Dolphins
Boykin (knee) could miss the Packers' Week 6 matchup with the Dolphins, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.
The Packers will have extra time in between games after playing Thursday night, but head coach Mike McCarthy said Boykin's injury is worse than originally expected, and it could cost him further action beyond the two games he has already missed. Boykin's participation, or lack thereof, in practice next week should provide a clue toward his status for the Packers' next game.

Boykin (knee/groin) has been ruled out for Thursday's game against the Vikings, Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com reports.
Boykin's array of ailments will keep him sidelined in back-to-back games, allowing Davante Adams more of a presence in a passing game dominated by the top two wideouts, Jordy Nelson and Randall Cobb.
Tue Sep 30 201413:29Boykin (knee/groin) not practicing Tuesday
Boykin (knee/groin) is not practicing Tuesday, ESPN Wisconsin reports.
Boykin missed Sunday's game against the Bears after a knee injury was compounded by a groin issue during practice last week. Now, with a quick turnaround before Thursday's divisional clash versus the Vikings, Boykin could be poised to miss another contest. Should that happen, rookie Davante Adams would figure to retain the Packers' No. 3 wideout position.
Sun Sep 28 201411:46Jarrett Boykin: Inactive Sunday
Boykin (knee/groin) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Bears, Tom Silverstein of the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel reports.
After he was able to practice fully Thursday, Boykin seemed on track to return from the knee injury he was nursing coming into the week, but a groin ailment sustained at some point during that session prompted the Packers to keep him out of action Sunday. Boykin has been a major disappointment so far with just two catches for 17 yards on seven targets in the first three weeks, and the injury may only give the Packers further reason for bumping him down the depth chart. Rookie Davante Adams is expected to serve as the team's No. 3 receiver Sunday, and with a strong outing, he could stick in that role beyond just this week.

Boykin is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Bears due to knee and groin injuries, Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com reports.
Boykin entered the week with a knee injury and suffered a different injury to his groin Thursday, so he is a bit banged up heading into Week 4. Boykin (36) and Davante Adams (34) played nearly the same number of snaps last week, so Adams would be the clear third receiver for the Packers on Sunday if Boykin is unable to go.
