Battle had two carries for three yards and two catches (on two targets) for 13 yards in Sunday's loss to the Redskins.
While starter Shonn Greene (hamstring) has been sidelined, it's been rookie Bishop Sankey that's dominated the backfield touches. Due to his limited opportunities, Battle offers minimal value.

Battle had one carry, a one-yard touchdown run, in Sunday's win over Jacksonville.
Battle vultured the touchdown from Bishop Sankey, who dominated the backfield touches (18) in Week 6. Battle isn't on the fantasy radar, regardless of his rare trip to the end zone Sunday.
Sun Sep 7 201411:39Battle (stinger) active for Sunday's game against Chiefs
Battle (stinger) is active for Sunday's game against the Chiefs.
Battle has been dealing with a stinger which has limited his participation in practice this week, but he's been able to overcome it enough to start Sunday. He has been moved from running back to fullback this season, so his carries should certainly decrease, although he could get a goal-line carry here-and-there.

Battle (stinger) is considered probable to play in Tennessee's regular season opener against Kansas City, John Glennon of The Tennessean reports.
Battle has been dealing with a stinger, which has limited his participation in practice this week. It appears, however, that the newly-converted fullback will be available for Week 1 in Kansas City.
Wed Sep 3 201414:52Battle (stinger) limited at practice Wednesday
Battle (stinger) was limited at practice Wednesday, Jim Wyatt of The Tennessean reports.
Given that Battle is the only fullback currently rostered by the Titans, his Week 1 status does not appear to be in much doubt, though fantasy utility will be difficult for him to carve out with Shonn Greene, Bishop Sankey and Dexter McCluster on hand to handle the bulk of the team's running back duties.
Mon Aug 25 201421:38Battle (stinger) missed practice on Monday
Battle (stinger) missed practice on Monday, Jim Wyatt of The Tennessean reports.
Battle picked up the stinger in this past Saturday's preseason game against Atlanta. The 30-year-old is currently listed as Tennessee's starting fullback, with backup Collin Mooney set to assume more responsibility if Battle is unable to go for the regular season opener against Kansas City.

Battle sustained a stinger during Saturday's preseason game in Atlanta and won't return, John Glennon of The Tennessean reports.
Battle was penciled in as the starting fullback early in camp, but the ailment places his status in doubt as the preseason draws to a close. In his place, Collin Mooney is the sole option to lead block for the Titans' stable of backs.

The Titans have moved Battle to fullback and he is currently ahead of incumbent Collin Mooney on the depth chart, ESPN.com reports.
Battle found himself near the bottom of the pecking order in a crowded backfield that includes Shonn Greene, Bishop Sankey, Dexter McCluster and Leon Washington, so the switch in positions makes sense. Battle figures to be the starting fullback when Tennessee opens its preseason against Green Bay on Saturday.
Tue Jul 15 201409:55Jackie Battle expected to make Titans roster
The Nashville Tennessean expects Jackie Battle to serve as the Titans' fullback.
Battle is also competing with injury-prone Shonn Greene for goal-line and short-yardage work behind rookie Bishop Sankey. At fullback, 30-year-old Battle is trying to knock off Collin Mooney. Battle's a near-lock to make the final roster because he can play both positions and consistently cover kicks.

Mon Feb 24 201421:21Titans re-sign RB Jackie Battle
Titans re-signed RB Jackie Battle.
It's undoubtedly a one-year deal for the 30-year-old plodder. Battle appeared in all 16 games for the Titans in 2013, rushing for 142 yards and one touchdown on 36 carries (3.9 YPC) as the No. 3 running back. He'll compete for a roster spot this summer. Battle contributed six tackles on special teams last season.

Sun Dec 29 201318:12Battle gets two touches in Week 17 win
Jackie Battle rushed for 16 yards on one carry and caught one pass for two yards in Week 17 against the Texans.
Battle served as Chris Johnson's No. 2 early in the season while Shonn Greene recovered from a knee scope but reverted back to No. 3 duties once Greene was healthy. Battle, 30, rushed 36 times for 142 yards and one touchdown this season, adding four catches for 36 yards. Battle will be a free agent in March and will likely struggle to find work.

Thu Oct 17 201319:48Jackie Battle (neck) practicing in full
Jackie Battle (neck) is practicing in full for Week 7, but is expected to be third on the depth chart against San Francisco.
With Shonn Greene (knee scope) finally ready to return, Battle will no longer back up Chris Johnson. If he touches the ball, it won't be more than 2-3 times.

Mon Oct 14 201315:25Munchak: Jackie Battle 'should be OK'
Speaking Monday, Titans coach Mike Munchak said Jackie Battle (neck) "should be OK" for Week 7.
Battle was active Sunday, but only on an emergency basis. He played just one snap despite being listed as "probable" on the injury report. The Titans are hopeful of getting Shonn Greene (knee) back for Week 7, so it's possible Battle will sit out ahead of Tennessee's Week 8 bye.

Sun Oct 13 201320:10Jackie Battle doesn't touch ball in loss
Jackie Battle was held without a touch in Tennessee's Week 6 loss to Seattle.
Battle was active, but if he played a snap, we didn't see it. He was listed as "probable" on the injury report with a neck issue after a full week of practice. With Shonn Greene (knee) nearing a return, Battle's fantasy moment in the sun has come and gone.

Sun Sep 22 201317:30Jackie Battle held to 12 yards in Week 3
Jackie Battle carried four times for 12 yards in the Titans' Week 3 win over San Diego.
Battle is filling in for Shonn Greene (knee scope) in the change-of-pace and "big back" role. He has no real fantasy value aside from random goal-line chances, which Battle hasn't gotten in back-to-back weeks.

Sun Sep 15 201319:33Battle rushes for 13 yards in Week 2 loss
Jackie Battle rushed for 13 yards on six attempts in Sunday's Week 2 loss to the Texans.
With Shonn Greene out with a knee injury, Battle again acted as the short-yardage back behind Chris Johnson. He's not on the fantasy radar whatsoever.

Wed Jul 24 201317:56Titans sign Jackie Battle, DeMarco Cosby
Titans signed RB Jackie Battle and TE DeMarco Cosby.
They also waived QB Nate Enderle and RB Alvester Alexander. We've seen Battle's act many times before, and he's a straight-line, largely plodding power back with extremely limited running ability. He's Shonn Greene insurance.

Sun Dec 30 201220:13Jackie Battle manages 37 yards on 19 rushes
Jackie Battle rushed 19 times for just 37 yards in the Chargers' Week 17 win over the Raiders.
Pressed into a feature back role once again, the plodding Battle predictably got nothing going. Running with form similar to that of an elephant, he finishes the season averaging 3.27 YPC on 95 rushes. The Chargers desperately need to upgrade the backup position behind Ryan Mathews. Battle is now an unrestricted free agent anyway.

Wed Dec 19 201208:25Jackie Battle will get a chance in Week 16
Coach Norv Turner mentioned Jackie Battle before Curtis Brinkley when asked how he'll replace Ryan Mathews (clavicle) over the final two games.
In last week's loss to the Panthers, Battle saw just three touches while Brinkley got nine. But that may have been due to the 21-0 deficit the Chargers faced when Mathews went down. "Jackie will get a chance to play," Turner said. "And Brink played some yesterday, though I don't know that he would play on third down. And we'll probably add Edwin Baker to the 53-man roster." Battle is a straight-line power runner that lacks upside but will handle goal-line work. He'd be an even weaker Week 16 desperation start if Ronnie Brown (hamstring) makes it back into the lineup.

Sun Dec 16 201219:51Battle gets five touches in Week 15
Jackie Battle rushed three times for two yards and caught two passes for 12 yards in San Diego's Week 15 blowout loss to Carolina.
Battle saw a slight uptick in usage because Ryan Mathews left with an early second-quarter shoulder injury. Curtis Brinkley played more of the snaps, however, because he's a superior passing-down option and San Diego was in passing situations all day due to a huge deficit. Should Mathews and Ronnie Brown (hamstring) not play in Week 16, Battle would figure to be the primary early-down back against the Jets.
