Fri May 18 201215:28Henry Sosa signs with Korean team
The Astros have sold the rights of RHP Henry Sosa to the Kia Tigers of the Korean Baseball Organization.
It's a little surprising, as Sosa is just 26 and has a fastball that sits in the mid-90s. But, he posted a 5.23 ERA in 10 starts for the 'Stros last year and wasn't any better this season at Triple-A Oklahoma City, holding a 5.12 mark with just 21 strikeouts over 31 2/3 innings.

Wed Apr 4 201217:17Astros outright Henry Sosa
Astros sent RHP Henry Sosa outright to Triple-A Oklahoma City.
Sosa will be in the Oklahoma City rotation to start this year. He's probably first in line for a call-up if there's an injury in the major-league starting rotation.

Thu Sep 22 201123:59Henry Sosa wins third
Henry Sosa was quality against the Rockies Thursday, limiting them to three runs on nine hits and a walk over 6 1/3 innings in a 9-6 win.
Sosa struggled a couple starts ago against the Nationals, but for the most part he's been quite good of late, allowing three or fewer runs in five of his last six outings. He's going to have to get his control in order and ultimately probably better profiles as a reliever, but he's held his own thus far. Sosa will bring a 4.68 ERA and 1.40 WHIP into his final start next week, which will come against the Cardinals.

Henry Sosa yielded two runs over six innings Saturday in a loss to the Cubs.
Sosa limited the Cubs to just four hits, but also walked five, including four in the first inning. He struck out five in the loss and now holds a 4.74 ERA and 33/20 K/BB ratio in 43 2/3 innings over his first eight major league starts. He doesn't come recommended with a start against the Rockies next week.

Henry Sosa picked up his first major league victory by holding the Giants to one run in six innings on Thursday.
Facing his old team for the second straight outing, Sosa had easily his best showing in four starts to date. He's 1-2 with a 5.09 ERA overall, and he's not recommended in NL-only leagues.

Tue Aug 23 201119:13Sosa to start vs. Giants Thursday
Henry Sosa will start against the Giants on Thursday.
He'll be working on three days' rest. Sosa, 26, has a 6.35 ERA and 13/6 K/BB ratio in 17 innings over his first three major league starts. He's not a recommended option in fantasy leagues, even against the struggling Giants' offense.

Sun Aug 21 201119:16Sosa last just five innings against SF
Henry Sosa yielded four earned runs over five innings as part of a no-decision against the Giants Sunday.
Sosa struck out three, walked one and gave up four hits. He's given up exactly four runs in each of his three major league starts and hasn't sniffed a win in any of them. With Houston's inept offense backing him, there's not much upside here.

Mon Aug 15 201123:23Sosa falls to 0-2
Henry Sosa allowed four runs on seven hits and two walks in six innings of work on Monday, falling to 0-2 in Houston's 4-3 loss to the Cubs at home.
He struck out six and walked two. Sosa has been just south of quality in both of his first two major-league starts, and is looking like he could offer some value in NL-only leagues down the stretch. He'll get the Giants at home this Sunday.

Fri Aug 12 201111:08Henry Sosa gets another start
Henry Sosa has been given another start.
Sosa will get the Cubs at home on Monday. Making his major-league debut on Wednesday, Sosa allowed four runs on six hits and three walks in six innings of work against the Diamondbacks. He has an electric fastball, but little else. He's unlikely to be an asset in NL-only leagues down the stretch.

Thu Aug 11 201100:35Henry Sosa has so-so major-league debut
Making his major-league debut, Henry Sosa allowed four runs on six hits and three walks in six innings of work on Wednesday evening, taking the loss in Houston's 6-3 setback against the Diamondbacks.
He struck out four. Not exactly an inspring effort, but more than enough to earn Sosa another start. In all likelihood, he'll remain in the Astros rotation through the end of the season as long as he doesn't implode.

Wed Aug 10 201108:52Astros call up RHP Henry Sosa
Astros purchased the contract of RHP Henry Sosa from Triple-A Oklahoma City.
Sosa, who was acquired from the Giants in the Jeff Keppinger deal, will take J.A. Happ's place in the starting rotation Wednesday night against the Diamondbacks. The 26-year-old right-hander has a 4.53 ERA and 77/32 K/BB ratio over 89 1/3 innings in the minors this season, both as a starter and a reliever. He threw seven shutout innings in his most recent start at Triple-A, but we wouldn't trust him in fantasy leagues right out of the gate.

Thu May 26 201114:36Giants designate RHP Sosa for assignment
Giants designated RHP Henry Sosa for assignment.
Sosa gets the boot to clear space for Brandon Crawford and Chris Stewart on the 40-man roster. The 25-year-old right-hander had an ugly 10.41 ERA and 21/17 K/BB ratio over his first 23 1/3 innings with Triple-A Fresno this season. The former top prospect has switched to relief following shoulder problems and is unlikely to draw much interest on the waiver wire.
