Tue Feb 15 201106:10Hinshaw puts on weight to maintain strength
Henry Schulman at the San Francisco Chronicle reported that Alex Hinshaw has added 20 pounds in order to maintain his strength throughout the upcoming season.
We can only assume the extra weight is muscle mass and not the lard variety. Hinshaw is hoping to make a very different team than the one he last played for in 2009, when the Giants sent him to the minors in September of that year. The strikeout pitcher is hoping to land one of the last spots in the bullpen.
