Considering that Guthrie put 10 men on base and gave up two homers, he should feel tremendously fortunate to have just three runs on his line. Nonetheless, it's just another awful game for the veteran righty, who was coming off his first one-run outing since the start of June. There are precious few fantasy leagues where Guthrie is worth anything but a juicy matchup for opposing hitters.

The veteran righty hasn't halted Kansas City's march towards the top, but he's been a liability as a starter as of late.

His days in the rotation may be nearing an end, as the addition of Johnny Cueto at the top will give manager Ned Yost a decision to make with the No. 5 spot.
