Clark owns a .275/.292/.449 slash line to go along with three home runs and 11 RBI through 16 games with Triple-A Colorado Springs.
Clark's numbers look pretty good at first glance, but he has not taken advantage of the thin Colorado air as well as some of his teammates, and owns a 2:16 BB:K ratio on the season. He could be an option for the big club at some point this season, but would likely need an injury to Adam Lind to even have a chance at any sort of regular playing time.

Clark and Jason Rogers were optioned to Triple-A Colorado Springs on Tuesday, Tom Haudricourt of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.
The Brewers are a bit thin at the corner infield spots, given that Adam Lind struggles badly against lefties. It now appears that Luis Jimenez is the top backup at both first base and third base, although starting catcher Jonathan Lucroy may actually end up playing more first base than Jimenez. Clark's best chance at making an impact in the majors this season will be if Lind suffers an injury.

Clark is 9-for-24 (.375) with two home runs and three RBI through 10 games this spring.
Clark missed a game last Wednesday due to an illness, but he has sandwiched a couple good stretches around that absence. He is a long shot to make the Opening Day roster if Adam Lind is healthy, but if Lind's recurring back injury lands him on the disabled list at any point, Clark -- as a fellow lefty -- could be called upon to see action at first base against right-handed pitching.
Thu Mar 12 201512:37Clark sent home from camp Wednesday morning due to illness
Clark was sent home from camp Wednesday morning due to an illness, Tom Hardricourt of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.
Assuming Clark's illness isn't anything serious, he should be fine to go within the next few days. He is battling for a spot on the Brewers' 25-man roster, and a strong spring training thus far has given him hope. However, the odds of making the roster are likely stacked against him.
Wed Sep 17 201416:29Clark not in lineup Wednesday against Cardinals
Clark is not in the lineup Wednesday against the Cardinals.
Lyle Overbay will take over at first base Wednesday, pushing Clark to the bench after two straight starts. The 27-year-old Clark is just 4-for-20 with the big club, but three of his hits have left the park, so he may continue seeing occasional starts the rest of the way.
Tue Sep 16 201416:00Clark in lineup for Tuesday's game against Cardinals
Clark is in the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Cardinals.
Clark homered in each of the last three games he appeared in, so manager Ron Roenicke will stick with the hot hand and give Clark the start Tuesday. He will man first base and bat seventh against Cardinals starter Lance Lynn.
Thu Sep 11 201416:19Clark will make second straight start at first base Thursday
Clark will make his second straight start at first base Thursday.
Clark hit his first career home run Wednesday, and manager Ron Roenicke will reward the 27-year-old with another start Thursday. With Mark Reynolds and Lyle Overbay failing to provide much of a spark from the first base position, there's at least a chance Clark carves out a regular role over the final weeks of the season.

Clark hit his first career home run Wednesday, going 1-for-2 with a run and two RBI versus the Marlins.
Clark, who slashed .304/.376/.548 with 26 homers in 414 minor league at-bats this season, has gone 2-for-9 since getting called up and is line to see more playing time at first base for the Brewers.
Tue Sep 2 201412:09The Brewers called up Clark from Triple-A Nashville on Tuesday
The Brewers called up Clark from Triple-A Nashville on Tuesday, MLB.com's Adam McCalvy reports.
Clark was not even in the Brewers' organization until signing a minor league deal with the club in July, but he earned his first trip to the majors by posting an impressive .976 OPS over 53 games with Triple-A Nashville. The Brewers have struggled to get production from their first basemen of late, so the sizzling Clark could get a start or two to show what he can do.
Sat Jul 5 201410:46Brewers ink Matt Clark to minor league deal
Brewers signed INF Matt Clark to a minor league contract.
The 27-year-old slugger was pounding the ball at Double-A Binghampton, slashing .297/.380/.498 with 10 homers and 46 RBI in 67 contests, but the Mets were unable to find room for him on the 40-man roster. With the Brewers struggling to get consistent offensive production from the first base position, he could become an option for them at some point this season.
