Sat Sep 26 201517:51Wallace released by 76ers on Saturday
Wallace was released by the 76ers on Saturday, Marc Stein of ESPN reports.
Wallace was traded to the 76ers after briefly moving to the Warriors in the offseason, and now his short run with his newest club has come to an end as well. The veteran averaged just 1.1 points, 1.8 rebounds and 0.5 steals in nine minutes last season, but will now begin searching for work with another team.
Fri Jul 31 201517:17Gerald Wallace: Traded to 76ers
Wallace was traded to the 76ers on Friday.
Wallace was just moved earlier this month in exchange for David Lee, but he is now on the move again to the 76ers for Jason Thompson. Should the team keep Wallace, he serves as a nice veteran presence for a very young, inexperienced Philadelphia team. At 33 years old, Wallace appeared in just 32 games for the Celtics last season, averaging a mere 1.1 points and 1.8 rebounds in nine minutes per game, and his fantasy value will likely remain very low.
Tue Jul 7 201515:06Wallace traded to Warriors on Tuesday in exchange for David Lee
Wallace was traded to the Warriors on Tuesday in exchange for David Lee, Marc Stein of ESPN reports.
Wallace is basically viewed as a contract at this point in his career, and he'll likely be waived by the Warriors via the stretch provision, which will enable Golden State to reduce Wallace's annual cap hit. Assuming that's what happens, the veteran will look to catch on with another team in hopes of filling a reserve forward role.
Mon Apr 27 201516:00Gerald Wallace:
Wallace ends the 2014/15 season with 32 game appearances, averaging 9 minutes, 1.1 points, 1.8 rebounds and 0.5 steals per game.
Wallace continued to get paid very well for his player-coach role with the Celtics. Absorbing his large contract was one demand made by the Nets in the trade that sent Paul Pierce, Kevin Garnett and Jason Terry to Brooklyn last year. Boston received three first round picks as well as the option to swap first round picks in 2017, so that deal still looks very good for Boston, despite Wallace's contract. Wallace was seen throughout the season mentoring the younger Celtics during games. He and Coach Stevens appear to have a positive relationship. Wallace is under contract for one more season with Boston.

Wallace has seen the court in only 21 of the Celtics' 51 games before the All-Star break, having also sat out of Boston's last six games.
Wallace's monster contract also means the chances are extremely slim that he gets dealt before the trade deadline. Wallace is being very professional about the situation, offering advice and encouragement to his younger teammates. He is essentially an extremely well paid assistant coach.
Sat Jan 10 201508:06Wallace not called into action against Pacers on Friday
Wallace was not called into action against the Pacers on Friday.
Even with Brandan Wright and Jeff Green out of the picture, Wallace still can't find his way onto the court. He's only played in 14 games for the Celtics this season and the organization's numerous trades over the course of this season makes it seem pretty clear that they're in a rebuilding mode. This is bad news for the 32-year-old who will likely stay on the bench moving forward while coach Brad Stevens deploys younger players who are in need of experience.

Wallace has only played in two games this season and averaged 5.5 minutes on the court during those contests.
Wallace is buried on the depth chart under the younger talent of Jeff Green and Evan Turner. In light of this, the 32-year-old is not expected to have much of an impact this season in Boston.

Wallace has successfully played in two preseason games since being sidelined for multiple days with a minor knee injury.
Wallace was never in any real danger of missing extended time as the Celtics played it safe with their aging veteran to keep him fresh for the start of the regular season. The Celtics face the Nets in the first game of the regular season Wednesday and Wallace will likely be in the rotation, although he'll be used in limited capacity off the bench.

Wallace (knee) is expected to be available for Sunday's game against the Nets.
Wallace missed each of the previous two games with a knee injury, but is expected to return to the court Sunday. The 32-year-old isn't known for his offensive prowess, and will likely contribute more on the defensive end off the bench for the Celtics this season.
Mon Oct 13 201412:04Wallace (knee) out for two games
Wallace (knee) is out for two games, A. Sherrod Blakely of Comcast SportsNet reports.
With two years left on his contract, Wallace continues the injury issues that come with his age and style of play. He shouldn't be expected to provide much if any real value on offense going forward, but his contract and leadership mean the Celtics could keep him around on the bench. He should return the 19th, at the Nets.
Tue Mar 4 201412:42Gerald Wallace undergoes season-ended surgery
Gerald Wallace (knee) underwent successful season-ending surgery on Tuesday.
We've still yet to see a report of an "unsuccessful" season-ending surgery, but it's good to hear that all went well with Crash's procedure. His minutes will most likely be gobbled up by Jerryd Bayless, Chris Johnson, and the potentially soon-to-return Avery Bradley.

Fri Feb 28 201412:06Gerald Wallace (knee, ankle) out indefinitely
Gerald Wallace has been diagnosed with a torn meniscus and is out indefinitely.
Wallace is also battling bone spurs in his ankle. Add the two injuries together, and the veteran could very well miss the rest of the season. The always injury-prone Wallace has appeared in 58 games this year, averaging 5.1 points, 3.7 rebounds and 2.5 assists. His absence will open up tons of minutes for Jerryd Bayless and Chris Johnson, especially until Avery Bradley (ankle) returns.

Wed Feb 26 201422:59Gerald Wallace double-doubles off bench
Gerald Wallace came off the bench on Wednesday and hit 4-of-8 shots for 12 points, 10 rebounds and four assists in 33 minutes.
He didn't have a steal, block or 3-pointer, but still played pretty well despite the benching. He's averaging 9.0 points, 5.0 rebounds, 2.2 assists and 2.0 steals over his last five games, but he may have trouble playing this well if he continues to come off the bench. Jerryd Bayless started in his place tonight and blew up for 29 points.

Wed Feb 26 201417:58Gerald Wallace moving to the bench
Gerald Wallace will come off the bench on Wednesday vs. the Hawks.
The Celtics not having Jared Sullinger (concussion) or Kelly Olynyk (toe) means Wallace will have to play some power forward. His value goes up a little bit tonight against another team with some holes in their frontcourt.

Sun Feb 23 201401:49Wallace mostly quiet in another start at SG
Gerald Wallace started once again with Avery Bradley (ankle) out on Saturday against the Kings, scoring eight points on 3-of-7 shooting (including a three) with three rebounds and one steal in 27 minutes.
Wallace got ejected after the game and made some funny comments about the refs so he might be looking at a fine. He's very hit or miss even when he starts and plays a boatload of minutes so owners should use him with extreme caution.

Thu Feb 20 201400:40Gerald Wallace quietly fills stat sheet
Gerald Wallace made another start with Avery Bradley out with an ankle injury and had nine points, three rebounds, two assists, four steals and a block on 3-of-5 shooting in 34 minutes on Wednesday.
He filled the stat sheet tonight, but his lack of scoring and shaky hold on a starting job makes us leery of trusting him. He also hit the floor hard on several occasions tonight, and he could find himself injured if he keeps playing like Crash. But as long as he's starting, Wallace should at least be on the fantasy radar right now.

Mon Feb 10 201423:19Wallace goes for eight and four in start
Gerald Wallace hit all three of his shots (including a three) to finish with eight points, three rebounds, four assists and three steals in a start for Avery Bradley (ankle) on Monday.
Wallace is worth a look in deep leagues if he gets spot-action like this but that's about it. He's been a mixed bag in this type of role so far this season.

Mon Feb 10 201409:19Gerald Wallace plays through general soreness
Gerald Wallace chipped in four points and three rebounds during Sunday's loss to Dallas, but he also turned the ball over three times in 15 minutes.
The veteran forward admitted that his "whole body is sore" after a hard fall on Friday, and even said half-jokingly that he should change his nickname since he's no longer able to 'Crash' around the court and recover as quickly as he used to. Despite filling up the stat sheet on Friday, Wallace has been too inconsistent for use in typical fantasy leagues.

Sat Feb 8 201400:14Crash nearly triple-doubles against the Kings
Gerald Wallace started for injured Avery Bradley (ankle) in Friday's win over the Kings, scoring eight points on 4-of-8 shooting with 12 rebounds, nine assists, two steals and one block in 40 minutes.
Turn back the clock and count that money if you started him in FanDuel. Crash took advantage of a prime situation against a depleted Kings team, and with Bradley and Rajon Rondo expected back soon there's nothing really to see here. Wallace could easily go 1-for-3 for two points, three boards and a steal the next time out.
