He was cleared to make room for Cesar Carrillo on the 40-man roster. Italiano, who was acquired from the Athletics in the Scott Hairston trade last July, posted a 2.58 ERA and 36/27 K/BB ratio in 47 relief appearances with Double-A San Antonio this season. The groundball specialist is likely to drum up some interest on waivers. | ||||||
