Boozer has been getting interest from teams in the Chinese Basketball Association, but he's holding out hope for an NBA contract, ESPN reports.

Boozer averaged 11.8 points, 6.8 rebounds, 1.3 assists, 0.6 steals, and 0.2 blocks in 24 minutes per game through 71 games played for the Lakers last season. He's mediocre at most things and generally considered to be a net-negative when factoring in his defense. When all is said and done, it's hard to imagine a team that would want to use Boozer significant minutes in today's NBA. Though it's possible the 13-year veteran will latch onto a team before training camp, it's unlikely he'll have a big enough role on any NBA team to justify drafting him in standard fantasy leagues this season.

It was expected that the 33 year old would play fewer minutes this past season due to his age, loss of production, and defensive woes so the decrease in points and rebounds from last season is not a surprise. He did not have much value in most standard leagues, especially because of his faults in defensive categories, and that trend is likely to continue for the rest of his future in the league. Boozer has entered the time period of his career in which he is accepting of a bench role and wants nothing but a championship. He has expressed interest in re-signing with the Lakers in hopes of winning a title, as the team has a possibility of improving enough this offseason to become a legitimate contender, having the second pick in the draft, the return of Kobe Bryant, and a possible big-name free agent signing. No matter what team Boozer ends up signing with this offseason, he is likely to remain in a bench role and see a decrease in production and minutes, which gives him very little value in standard leagues.

Boozer (illness) returned to action and posted four points, three rebounds, one assist, and two steals in 18 minutes of action Wednesday against the Pelicans.

Boozer has missed the last five games with an illness and has seen quite a big decline in his production this season. He's averaging 10.6 points and 7.0 rebounds in March, making him hard to own in standard leagues.

Boozer will be available to play in Monday's game against the 76ers.

Boozer has been rested recently by coach Byron Scott, but apparently will be at Scott's disposal Monday versus Philadelphia. Nonetheless, it's unclear what Scott's rotation will look like Monday, making Boozer a hard player to rely on in daily formats.

Boozer will be held out again Sunday against the Nets.

Boozer has been held out of the last two contests, but coach Byron Scott said that both Boozer and Jordan Hill, who is also being rested, could be back Sunday against Brooklyn or Monday against Philadelphia. The goal in resting both players has been to free up minutes for the likes of Tarik Black, Ryan Kelly and Ed Davis. Coincidentally, the Lakers lose their first round pick if it falls outside of the top five.

Boozer is expected to stay off the court for the next 4-5 games at the request of coach Byron Scott, the Los Angeles Daily News reports.

Scott reportedly asked Boozer and Jordan Hill to sit over the next couple of weeks so guys like Ed Davis, Ryan Kelly, Robert Sacre, and Tarik Black could see extended time on the court. This already played itself out Tuesday against the Thunder and Boozer can be dropped across all formats as a result.

Boozer (ankle) didn't miss any time with a sprained ankle, coming off the bench Tuesday and grabbing 10 boards and scoring four points (2-6 FG).

Boozer's sprain was only considered mild after he suffered it Sunday. It's no surprise that he played Tuesday, and will continue to come off the bench for the Lakers going forward.

This season, his numbers have actually been slightly better when he's coming off the bench, averaging 0.5 points and 0.5 rebounds more per game and he's shooting 52.7 percent off the bench as opposed to 49.3 percent as a starter.

Boozer will move to the bench for Sunday's game against the Mavericks, the Los Angeles Daily News reports.

Coach Byron Scott continues to experiment with his rotation as he'll have Tarik Black and Jordan Hill man the frontcourt Sunday. Although, it's entirely possible for Boozer to reenter the starting lineup at a later date.

Boozer posted his first double-double since Feb. 10 in Tuesday's loss to the Hornets. He finished with 15 points (5-8 FG, 5-6 FT), 11 rebounds, and one assist in 25 minutes as the starting power forward.

Despite being a fixture in the starting lineup these days, Boozer has averaged just 11.8 points, 7.4 rebounds, 0.8 assists, and 0.8 steals in 23 minutes per game since the All-Star break. He's not playing enough minutes to be of consideration in standard leagues, but Boozer the Bear can still help teams in deeper leagues.

Boozer will start against the Celtics on Sunday, Mark Medina of the L.A. Daily News reports.

Boozer wasn't even inserted into Friday's game against the Nets but coach Byron Scott has decided to give him the start Sunday. Regardless of Boozer's DNP-CD on Friday, the veteran is a double-double threat every time he takes the court and may be in store for significant minutes against the Celtics. His move into the starting five will demote Tarik Black to the bench.

Boozer scored a team-high of 21 points (8-15 FG, 5-8 FT) during Tuesday's loss to the Nuggets, to go along with 10 rebounds, four assists and a steal in 30 minutes off the bench.

With Jordan Hill still out with a hip injury, Boozer recorded an extended 30 minutes of playing time in this one and made the extra time count with a 21-point, 10-rebound double-double. With Hill out for at least another week and one more game left before the All-Star break, expect Boozer to be a large part of the offense and post similar numbers in Wednesday's game against the Portland Trail Blazers.

Boozer provided 28 points (13-21 FG, 2-2 FT), nine rebounds, and four assists in 37 minutes in the overtime loss to Milwaukee on Wednesday.

Boozer has had three straight nice games with 21.0 points and 9.0 rebounds. This type of production likely won't last - Boozer has plenty of miles on his 33-year-old body - but he should be added while he is playing well.

It's not clear how much time Hill will miss as a result of the injury, but over the last five games Boozer is nearly averaging a double-double with 13.4 points and eight rebounds. If you're desperate for frontcourt stats he's available, but there are likely options with more potential on the waiver wire.

He's had a tough stretch of five games, averaging only 6.6 points and 4.6 rebounds, so he's been somewhat limited in his fantasy value.
