Mon Apr 1514:36Lonnie Walker IV Noncommittal On Future With Nets
Impending free-agent guard Lonnie Walker IV appears to be noncommittal on his future with the Brooklyn Nets. "I'm just looking for a home Just looking for a team that finds me valuable. [I want to be] an important piece for a team that can consistently play We'll see how things go", Walker told reporters following Sunday's blowout loss in Brooklyn's regular-season finale against the Philadelphia 76ers. The 25-year-old swingman netted a one-year pact with the Nets last offseason and was a serviceable part of their rotation when healthy during 2023-24, averaging 9.7 points, 2.2 rebounds, 1.3 assists, and 1.8 three-pointers on 38.4% shooting from beyond the arc through 58 appearances as a reserve. Walker is a decent spot-up shooter and spark plug off the bench, but he doesn't provide enough on the defensive end to consistently handle big minutes.

Sun Mar 1013:22Lonnie Walker IV Available Versus Cleveland
Brooklyn Nets guard Lonnie Walker IV (illness) will return for Sunday's game against the Cleveland Cavaliers. The 25-year-old hasn't felt the best, although he still managed to average 20 points in his two appearances leading up to Saturday's loss to Charlotte. However, with Cam Thomas (ankle, foot) back for that one after a lengthy layoff, Walker finally got the night off to rest. There's a chance Thomas could see fewer minutes in the second of back-to-back contests, so Walker could remain a part of the rotation. Unfortunately for fantasy managers, Walker's fantasy ceiling isn't nearly as high as it was just a few games ago, making him a risky option in all formats.

Sat Mar 916:18Lonnie Walker IV Back On The Injury Report
Brooklyn Nets guard Lonnie Walker IV (illness) is questionable for Saturday's matchup against the Charlotte Hornets. The 25-year-old has been under the weather of late. However, despite still dealing with obvious congestion and other symptoms, he has averaged 20 points in the last two games. Nonetheless, Cam Thomas (ankle, foot) will finally return on Saturday from a lengthy layoff, so Walker may finally get a night off. But even if he's active, he could have a tough time getting on the floor with Thomas back in the equation.

Thu Mar 717:43Lonnie Walker IV Good To Go Thursday
Brooklyn Nets guard Lonnie Walker IV (illness) will play on Thursday versus the Pistons. He hasn't felt well and carried a questionable tag since Wednesday night. However, the 25-year-old is at least feeling well enough to suit up for the meeting with the worst team in the National Basketball Association. Walker logged 30 minutes in Tuesday's win over the Philadelphia 76ers, finishing with 19 points. With Cam Thomas (foot, ankle) and Cameron Johnson (ankle) out, Walker should continue to receive extra work, making him a worthwhile fantasy option in any format.

Thu Mar 715:08Nets Downgrade Lonnie Walker IV To Questionable
The Brooklyn Nets have downgraded guard Lonnie Walker IV (illness) to questionable for Thursday's game against the Detroit Pistons. With four regular rotation members already ruled out, the Nets could be drastically undermanned on Thursday. Walker is a candidate to join Brooklyn's starting lineup with Cameron Johnson (ankle) sidelined, but if he can't fight through an illness, Dennis Smith Jr. would be in play as a budget DFS option against a last-place Pistons team giving up more FanDuel points per game to opposing point guards than any other this season.

Wed Feb 722:50Lonnie Walker IV Out Versus Cleveland
Brooklyn Nets guard Lonnie Walker IV (hamstring) won't play on Thursday against the Cleveland Cavaliers. The former Laker combined for 58 points in the three games leading up to Monday's showdown with the Warriors. However, Walker lasted only five minutes before exiting for the rest of the contest because of hamstring tightness. As a result, he missed Tuesday's meeting with the Dallas Mavericks. Nonetheless, Walker's next chance to play will be Saturday versus the San Antonio Spurs. But without Walker on the floor, rookie Jalen Wilson, coming off a 10-point, four-rebound, and one-steal outing in 18 minutes, could remain included in Jacque Vaughn's rotation. Unfortunately, Wilson isn't a reliable fantasy option, although a slight upside is there.

Tue Feb 616:12Lonnie Walker IV Out With Tight Hamstring
Brooklyn Nets guard Lonnie Walker IV (hamstring) will not play in Tuesday's meeting with the Dallas Mavericks. After playing only five minutes for Brooklyn in Monday's loss to the Golden State Warriors, Walker isn't ready to go on the second night of a back-to-back due to tightness in his left hamstring. The 25-year-old swingman has quietly been one of the Association's most productive reserves this year, serving as a spark plug off Brooklyn's bench with averages of 12.0 points and 2.2 treys while shooting a career-high 47.6% from the floor and 43.6% from downtown. Ben Simmons is a candidate for an expanded role with Cameron Johnson (adductor) also out, making Dennis Smith Jr. a deep-league fantasy streamer for dimes and swipes.

Fri Jan 516:43Lonnie Walker IV, Dennis Smith Probable For Friday
Brooklyn Nets guard Lonnie Walker IV (hamstring) and Dennis Smith Jr. (back) are listed as probable ahead of Friday's game against the Oklahoma City Thunder. The Nets have been without Walker since late November. It's a shame because he was playing well before the injury, so hopefully he can provide that spark again once he's healthy. Smith sat out their last game, but it was the second game of a back-to-back set. He'd have a bigger role if Walker remains out. Otherwise, Smith won't be an ideal streaming option with Walker back in the mix on Friday.

Tue Jan 209:42Lonnie Walker IV Remains Out On Tuesday
Brooklyn Nets guard/forward Lonnie Walker IV (hamstring) won't return to the court Tuesday versus New Orleans. He's been trending towards a return, but unfortunately, still isn't good to go. Walker IV missed the entire December and has been absent for 15 games in total. Before running into health issues, the 25-year-old enjoyed a very good start to the campaign, and he still remains Brooklyn's fourth-best scorer with 14.6 points. Walker IV's next chance to return comes on Wednesday versus Houston.

Fri Dec 8 202309:58Lonnie Walker IV Set To Miss Friday's Game
Brooklyn Nets guard Lonnie Walker IV (hamstring) will remain sidelined on Friday as he nurses a left hamstring strain. The 24-year-old has been playing some important minutes off of the bench so far this season, but the Nets draw an easier matchup against a weak Washington Wizards team on Friday. In Walker's absence, Dennis Smith Jr. should continue to see more opportunities as the backup guard. Smith has provided a bit of a scoring punch while chipping in with a solid amount of rebounds and assists.

Sat Dec 2 202308:43Lonnie Walker IV Out On Saturday
Brooklyn Nets guard/forward Lonnie Walker IV (hamstring) won't feature against the Magic on Saturday. He will miss his second contest of the campaign due to a left hamstring strain. Walker IV's absence means Brooklyn will be without their fourth-best scorer. The 24-year-old has been among the league's most prolific bench players this season with a 14.6 scoring average. However, Walker IV has impacted the proceedings significantly less in recent games, and his role might not remain the same once the Nets are back to full health. Saturday will mark the return of Royce O'Neale (hip) and Dennis Smith Jr. (back) might also be back.

Tue Nov 14 202318:27Lonnie Walker IV Active Against Magic
Brooklyn Nets guard/forward Lonnie Walker IV (knee) has been upgraded from questionable to available for Tuesday's game versus the Orlando Magic. A left knee contusion held Walker to 14 minutes during Sunday's eventual 102-94 win over the Washington Wizards, but he's good to go on Tuesday. The 24-year-old swingman has proven to be a serviceable offseason addition by the Nets during the season's early goings, playing top-100 ball in 9-category setups with 15.4 points, 3.0 rebounds, 2.2 assists, and 2.2 trifectas per game. With Cam Thomas (ankle) and Ben Simmons (hip) still missing for Brooklyn, Walker is worthy of season-long streaming attention as a key reserve for head coach Jacque Vaughn against Orlando and for the time being.

Tue Nov 14 202309:36Lonnie Walker IV In Danger Of Missing Tuesday's Contest
Brooklyn Nets guard/forward Lonnie Walker IV (knee) is carrying a questionable tag ahead of Tuesday's matchup against Orlando. He was limited to a season-low 14 minutes last time out versus Washington and could now come out of the lineup due to a left knee contusion. Walker IV has been a productive spark plug off the bench for Brooklyn this season, averaging 15.4 points a night. With Cam Thomas (ankle) ruled out for a couple of weeks, Thomas could have an even bigger role to fill offensively for the team, so he's picked up the knee problem at an awful time.

Wed Nov 8 202309:40Lonnie Walker IV Considered Probable For Wednesday
Brooklyn Nets guard/forward Lonnie Walker IV (knee) has been listed as probable for Wednesday's affair against the L.A. Clippers. He's battled through left knee soreness in the last few games and is expected to do so again. The 24-year-old has been one of the best bench scorers in the league early in the year, putting up 15.5 points in 21.7 minutes. He matched his season high with 19 points last time out against Milwaukee, and his confidence should be sky-high after shooting over 56 percent across the previous three games. There should be a lot of scoring opportunities for him again on Wednesday, with the total set at 231.5 points for the game.

Mon Nov 6 202309:16Lonnie Walker IV Probable For Monday's Action
Brooklyn Nets guard/forward Lonnie Walker IV (knee) is considered probable for Monday's meeting with Milwaukee. The 24-year-old has a sore left knee, but he should be fine for the action. Walker IV has played the role of a microwave scorer off the bench for the Nets this season, averaging 14.8 points in 21.6 minutes. He's also added 2.6 rebounds and 2.4 assists to his tally. The Bucks have posted a poor 115.2 defensive efficiency so far, and their second unit has a mediocre defensive record, meaning Walker IV is in a good position to continue his productive start to the year.

Thu Oct 12 202322:37Lonnie Walker IV Leaves Early On Thursday
Brooklyn Nets guard Lonnie Walker IV (wrist) was forced to exit early during Thursday's preseason matchup against Maccabi. The young guard exited the game due to a left wrist contusion. Before leaving, Walker had 12 points, two assists, and one rebound during this contest. This is bad timing with fellow guard Dennis Smith Jr. (ankle) also exiting the game due injury. The Nets are hopeful that both players are dealing with minor injuries and should be good for the regular season.

Tue May 9 202309:55Lonnie Walker IV Becomes Unexpected Hero Monday Night
Los Angeles Lakers guard/forward Lonnie Walker IV emerged as a key player in Monday's Game 4 against the Warriors, pushing the team to a 104-101 victory with 15 fourth-quarter points. He went scoreless for the first three quarters before suddenly exploding and almost matching the entire Warriors team in scoring in the final frame, as Stephen Curry & Co. managed just 17 fourth-quarter points. Walker IV finished with 6-for-9 shooting, going 1-for-3 from deep, and he notched three rebounds with two assists and two steals. The 24-year-old had logged just 28 minutes in these playoffs before breaking into the rotation for Game 3 and logging 24 minutes. He was on the court for 27 minutes on Monday, and considering how well he played, even more minutes could be heading his way.

LeBron James Injury Update

James injured his right foot during the third quarter of Sunday's comeback win over the Dallas Mavericks. It was a tense few seconds after the multi-time MVP clutched his foot after suffering what was deemed a "non-contact injury." The concern grew to greater heights after he was overheard saying, "I heard a pop." Situations like this are never good, as many were concerned that an Achilles tear could be the culprit.https://twitter.com/FanDuelTV/status/1630602449227595777?s=20Yet, after James gathered himself, he tightened his shoe and finished the game, totaling 26 points, eight rebounds, one block, and one steal. Head coach Darvin Ham appeared optimistic while speaking postgame, stating the 38-year-old was "good."However, that couldn't be further from the case, with The Athletic's Shams Charania reporting that James would "miss an extended period of time" because of the foot injury. Charania later added that the all-time scoring leader would "require multiple opinions."https://twitter.com/ShamsCharania/status/1630363560051187712?s=20

LeBron James' Season Recap

Despite James' advanced NBA age, he's still productive. In 47 appearances, he's averaged 29.5 points, 8.4 rebounds, and 6.9 assists. While his three-point percentage has regressed, that's never been his strong suit.James was also named an All-Star captain while recently passing Kareem Abdul-Jabbar to become the NBA's all-time scoring leader.https://twitter.com/NBAonTNT/status/1623184801284104192?s=20That said, despite some high-level accomplishments, the year has been a rough one for the 2003 No. 1 overall pick. He's battled left foot soreness for nearly the entire season, so much so that he routinely carried some type of injury designation heading into almost all of his games over the last few months....
