He'll provide some extra insurance behind the plate while Miguel Montero nurses a groin injury. Schmidt, 27, is hitting .274/.336/.419 with three homers and a .755 OPS in 31 games at the Triple-A level this year. Mike Zagurski will likely be sent down in a corresponding roster move. | ||||||
