Twins signed RHP Esmerling Vasquez to a minor league contract with an invitation to spring training.

Vasquez posted a rough 5.68 ERA, 1.61 WHIP and 14/19 K/BB ratio in 31 2/3 innings this year with the Twins. He's doubtful to win an Opening Day bullpen job for 2013.

With the Twins completely devoid of quality options in the rotation, he may get another chance to start before the season is over.
