Mon Jun 27 202216:38Frank Jackson Unlikely To Return To Detroit
Detroit Pistons guard Frank Jackson is unlikely to remain with the organization next season. The Pistons have until Tuesday to decide on the team options with Jackson and Hamidou Diallo. James Edwards of The Athletic believes that the Pistons will keep Diallo, but move on from Jackson. It wouldn't be shocking to see the Pistons decline Jackson's $3.1 million option. They already have Cade Cunningham and Jaden Ivey as their future stars at guard. Plus, Cory Joseph, Killian Hayes, and Kemba Walker could be in the mix as well. At this point, the Pistons appear to have too many guards, so moving on from Jackson makes sense. He'll likely draw some interest in free agency, but it's tough to imagine Jackson having reliable fantasy value anywhere.

Fri Mar 11 202210:58Killian Hayes, Frank Jackson Will Miss Friday’s Contest
Detroit Pistons point guard Killian Hayes (groin) and shooting guard Frank Jackson (back) have been ruled out for Friday's game vs. Boston. Hayes will miss a second straight outing due to a right adductor contusion that he sustained during Monday's outing, having recently enjoyed an elevated role among the second unit with Jackson unavailable. A bilateral lumbar spasm has sidelined Jackson for 10 of Detroit's last 11 outings, an indication that he will be down for the foreseeable future as he continues to get treatment. Without the duo, Saben Lee should get all of the second-unit run that he can handle, while Cade Cunningham and Cory Joseph are likely to see a handful of additional minutes and ball-handling opportunities as well.

Fri Mar 4 202218:39Frank Jackson Remains Unavailable For Friday’s Game
Detroit Pistons shooting guard Frank Jackson (back) has been ruled out for Friday's contest against Indiana as he works through bilateral lumbar spasms in his back. Jackson has combined to play just 23 minutes since Feb. 10 due to the ailment, which has thrust Killian Hayes into a larger role among the second unit. While Jackson enjoyed a productive stretch during February, he has a muddled path to fantasy relevance with Cade Cunningham healthy and among the starting five. Jackson's next chance to take the floor comes Monday vs. the Hawks.

Thu Mar 3 202218:44Marvin Bagley III, Frank Jackson Will Miss Thursday’s Game
Detroit Pistons power forward/center Marvin Bagley III (ankle) and shooting guard Frank Jackson (back) have been ruled out for Thursday's contest against Toronto. Bagley's absence has now climbed to three consecutive outings on the sidelines, while Jackson is heading back to street clothes after returning from a five-game absence Tuesday. Kelly Olynyk figures to get elevated run without Bagley in the mix, making him an appealing DFS option. Killian Hayes remains a confounding offensive asset, but he should stand to see a healthy minutes allotment without Jackson in the backcourt mix. The next chance for Bagley or Jackson to suit up comes Friday vs. the Pacers.

Tue Mar 1 202217:39Hamidou Diallo, Frank Jackson Will Suit Up Tuesday
Detroit Pistons shooting guards Hamidou Diallo (ankle) and Frank Jackson (back) have been given the green light to take the floor for Tuesday's game against Washington. Diallo ultimately did not miss any games due to the ankle ailment, as he is set to reclaim his role as a significant contributor among Detroit's second unit. Jackson is back in action after a five-game stint on the sidelines, with both players likely to cut into the other's DFS appeal. Diallo remains the more appealing play due to having averaged 13.9 PPG over his last 10 outings, although all Pistons are set to benefit from playing a Wizards group that ranks in the bottom third of the league in defensive efficiency.

Mon Feb 28 202217:23Marvin Bagley III, Frank Jackson Questionable
Detroit Pistons power forward Marvin Bagley III (ankle) and guard Frank Jackson (spine) are both listed as questionable for Tuesday's game against the Washington Wizards. Jackson has missed each of the team's last five games due to a lumbar spine injury. Bagley, meanwhile, sat out the team's most recent game on Sunday with a sprained left ankle. Pistons guard Hamidou Diallo (ankle) is listed as doubtful for Tuesday's game, so Jackson would likely slip into Diallo's minutes if he's able to make his return. Diallo has regularly been playing around 20 minutes per game lately. If Bagley plays, he'd likely see about 20 minutes as well, cutting into Kelly Olynyk's playing time.

Sun Feb 27 202218:51Frank Jackson To Remain Out On Sunday
Detroit Pistons guard Frank Jackson (back) will miss his fifth straight game on Sunday as the team takes on the Charlotte Hornets. Jackson is currently nursing a lumbar spine injury. Hamidou Diallo should continue to see significant minutes with Jackson out. Rodney McGruder and Killian Hayes also stand to continue seeing additional minutes. Diallo is the most enticing option from this trio for DFS purposes as he's shown the ability to go off here and there.

Fri Feb 25 202221:45Frank Jackson Unlikely To Play Saturday
Detroit Pistons guard Frank Jackson (back) is unlikely to suit up for Saturday's game against the Boston Celtics. He was unable to play on Thursday and it sounds like Jackson will miss at least one more game. Jackson won't have a huge role in Detroit when healthy, but could get more chances in the second half. Hamidou Diallo dropped 21 points on Thursday and will look to build off that performance on Saturday. He could be an interesting streaming option or DFS choice for Saturday's slate.

Thu Feb 24 202218:27Frank Jackson Will Suit Up For Thursday’s Game
Detroit Pistons shooting guard Frank Jackson (back) has been given the green light to play in Thursday's contest against the Cavaliers. Jackson, who missed the previous two outings due to back spasms, will rejoin Detroit's second unit. After a stretch of five straight games having scored in double figures, Jackson has gone ice cold from the field, having shot just 15 percent from three-point range since Feb. 4. His return likely caps the DFS upside of Hamidou Diallo, whose nightly production has been sporadic in its own right.

Tue Feb 15 202219:26Frank Jackson Out For Wednesday's Game
Detroit Pistons point guard Frank Jackson (back) has been ruled out for Wednesday's game against the Boston Celtics. The 23-year-old is dealing with back spasms. The injury first flared up during Friday's game against the Charlotte Hornets. With Jackson out and Saben Lee on assignment with the G League, the Pistons will have to lean more on their primary guards Cade Cunningham, Cory Joseph, Killian Hayes and Hamidou Diallo. We may also see Rodney McGruder get additional minutes.

Fri Feb 11 202221:14Frank Jackson Exits Early Versus Hornets
Detroit Pistons guard Frank Jackson (back) was forced to exit early during Friday's game against the Charlotte Hornets. He appears to have tweaked his back and the team is taking the cautious approach here. Jackson will sit out the rest of this game and it shouldn't be a huge deal since the Pistons are getting blown out anyway. The loss of Jackson should mean more playing time for Killian Hayes and possibly Hamidou Diallo. The fantasy value of Diallo should slightly increase if Jackson is forced to miss more time.

Thu Dec 30 202115:04Frank Jackson Out At Least One Week
Detroit Pistons guard Frank Jackson (ankle) was forced out of action early during Wednesday's game against the New York Knicks. He suffered a right ankle injury and will be re-evaluated in roughly 7-10 days. This is a tough blow to Detroit who is already without a bunch of their playmakers. Cory Joseph should see increased value from this and could be worth snagging in fantasy formats. Although, Hamidou Diallo is the player that needs to be rostered right now.

Wed Dec 29 202121:10Frank Jackson Exits Early On Wednesday
Detroit Pistons guard Frank Jackson (ankle) was forced to exit early during Wednesday's game against the New York Knicks. He appeared to have suffered a right ankle injury during the second quarter. The Pistons already have a bunch of injuries, so hopefully this isn't anything significant. Cory Joseph, Justin Robinson, and Cassius Stanley should all benefit in the absence of Jackson. Joseph is the best option of the three and is quickly gaining value with Detroit shorthanded. Fantasy managers should monitor Joseph, assuming Jackson does miss time.

Mon Dec 13 202108:19Frank Jackson Scores 25 Points With Six Triples
Detroit Pistons point guard Frank Jackson had a very good bench outing against Brooklyn on Sunday, finishing a 116-104 loss with 25 points on 6-for-13 three-point shooting. He went 8-for-19 overall from the field in 31 minutes of action with one rebound, one assist, one block and two turnovers. Jackson pops up with a good game here and there, but he's far from a reliable option for fantasy managers. With that said, the Pistons have suffered some injuries and Jackson's stock will be trending up quickly if he keeps logging 30-plus minutes a night, so managers should keep a close eye on him.

Tue Nov 30 202114:56Frank Jackson Possibly Sitting Out On Tuesday
Detroit Pistons guard Frank Jackson (leg) is listed as questionable for Tuesday's game against the Portland Trail Blazers. He has played well lately and scored in double figures during six of his last seven games. Fantasy managers should expect him to play, but there probably won't be another update until closer to tip-off. Cory Joseph and Hamidou Diallo would be asked to play more, assuming Jackson is out. Neither of them have enough upside to warrant starting in fantasy formats.

Fri Nov 26 202114:19Frank Jackson Will Play Versus Clippers
Detroit Pistons guard Frank Jackson (ankle) will play during Friday's game against the Los Angeles Clippers. This is good news with Killian Hayes (thumb) unavailable for this contest. Jackson has been hot lately, but had his double-digit scoring streak snapped on Wednesday. There will be some streaming appeal and DFS value for Jackson on Friday. He has been shooting well lately and will see extended minutes without Hayes available.

Thu Dec 12 201919:15Pelicans languishing as Williamson's absence drags on
NEW ORLEANS (AP) — Zion Williamson was supposed to be making his highly anticipated NBA debut by sometime next week, if not earlier. That looks unlikely now, given the overall No. 1 draft pick has yet to practice with the New Orleans Pelicans since having surgery to repair the lateral meniscus in his right knee on Oct. 21. The reeling Pelicans could certainly use him. They've lost 10 straight heading into Friday night's game at Philadelphia to fall to 6-19, but coach Alvin Gentry said this week that he could not forecast a return date.“I don’t have any idea," Gentry said. “I know that he’s here every day and know that he’s working his butt off.“We’re not going to rush anything with him,” Gentry continued. "We’re going to be overly cautious.”Williamson's initial prognosis was for his rehabilitation to last six to eight weeks. This Monday will mark eight weeks since surgery.“We have been much more cautious with him in terms of how quickly we’ve ramped him up from stage to stage because he’s... [More]

LAS VEGAS (AP) — An earthquake that struck Southern California on Friday night forced the NBA to cancel the finish of a two Summer League games, including a marquee sold-out matchup between New Orleans and New York, while engineers checked to see if the integrity of the Thomas & Mack Center on UNLV's campus was compromised in any way by the tremors. The Los Angeles Dodgers and San Diego Padres played through the earthquake during their game at Dodger Stadium , though a WNBA game in Las Vegas was also stopped. The primary issue at Summer League was the arena's overhead scoreboard, which is suspended from the roof by cables and swayed noticeably when the quake hit. A game between Phoenix and Denver, scheduled for later Friday in the Thomas & Mack, never started and was ultimately canceled — and a San Antonio-Orlando game in the adjacent Cox Pavilion, which does not have an overhead scoreboard, was also halted for precautionary reasons. The Magic were leading 75-59 and were declared... [More]
