Wed Mar 30 202219:38Alex Len, Josh Jackson Active On Wednesday
Sacramento Kings center Alex Len (illness) and forward Josh Jackson (illness) will both be active for Wednesday night's game against the Houston Rockets. This update comes as a surprise as both players had been previously ruled out for the game due to non-COVID illnesses. Neither player has been seeing much of the court lately. Len has rebounding and block potential, but would need to surpass Neemias Queta and Chimezie Metu on the depth chart in order to warrant some fantasy appeal.

Thu Feb 10 202212:46Josh Jackson, Trey Lyles Traded To Kings
Detroit Pistons guard Josh Jackson and forward Trey Lyles have been traded to the Sacramento Kings. This is a four-team trade that also sends forward Marvin Bagley III to Detroit. Lyles could have a role without Bagley on the roster. However, Chimezie Metu has been playing well and looks like a better fantasy option right now. Jackson will have to compete with newcomers Donte DiVincenzo, Jeremy Lamband Justin Holiday for playing time. At best, Jackson and Lyles are watch-list candidates in deeper leagues.

Fri Feb 4 202215:10Cade Cunningham, Josh Jackson Will Miss Friday’s Game
Detroit Pistons shooting guards Cade Cunningham (hip) and Josh Jackson (back) have been ruled out for Friday's contest against the Celtics. Cunningham is battling a hip pointer that has sidelined him for two straight outings, while Jackson is missing his fourth straight due to back spasms. While Rodney McGruder stepped into the starting five in place of Cunningham on Thursday, Frank Jackson led the team in scoring with a 25-point effort off the bench; both players stand out as DFS options while Cunningham and Jackson remain down. Their next opportunity to suit up comes Sunday vs. Minnesota.

Wed Feb 2 202218:42Cade Cunningham, Josh Jackson Questionable For Thursday
Detroit Pistons shooting guards Cade Cunningham (hip) and Josh Jackson (back) have been tagged as questionable to take the floor for Thursday's contest vs. Minnesota. Cunningham was somewhat of a surprise addition to Tuesday's lineup, although he was limited to just 21 minutes as he works through a hip pointer. Jackson, an integral member of the team's second unit, has been sidelined for the past two games, allowing Cory Joseph, Frank Jackson, and Killian Hayes to all see larger minutes and offensive roles. Cunningham has proven to be as volatile of a DFS option as they come during his rookie year, as fantasy managers should keep an eye on his status prior to tip-off due to the Timberwolves playing at the league's sixth-fastest pace.

Sun Jan 30 202217:02Josh Jackson Unlikely To Play Sunday
Detroit Pistons forward Josh Jackson (back) is listed as doubtful for Sunday's game against the Cleveland Cavaliers. He was able to play 16 minutes on Friday, but continues to deal with back tightness. There's a good chance he sits this one out, so he can try and recover from this issue. Frank Jackson and Rodney McGruder should be asked to play more with Jackson likely sitting out. Jackson is the better fantasy option between the two, but remains a low-end streaming option.

Tue May 4 202122:52Hornets hold on for crucial 102-99 win over Pistons
DETROIT (AP) — LaMelo Ball scored 23 points, including two free throws with 5.8 seconds left, and the Charlotte Hornets took another step toward the postseason with a 102-99 victory over the Detroit Pistons on Tuesday night. Detroit trailed by two when rookie Killian Hayes was fouled with 9.4 seconds remaining, but he made just one of two free throws. Ball made his free throws at the other end, and Hayes missed a last-second 3-pointer. Hamidou Diallo scored a career-high 35 points for Detroit. The Hornets are in eighth place in the Eastern Conference and are in solid shape to make it at least to the play-in round. They are two games behind seventh-place Boston. “Every game’s important late in the season,” Charlotte's Terry Rozier said. “Melo came in and put us on his back.” Charlotte was without Miles Bridges, who was out because of health and safety protocols. “I don’t know the extent, the days. We have not confirmed that yet," coach James Borrego said before the game. “What that means,... [More]

Mon Sep 30 201918:14Revamped and youthful Memphis Grizzlies ready to get to work
MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) — The remaking of the Memphis Grizzlies began the day after last season ended for them in April. That's when a new front office staff began making moves at an almost dizzying pace.Shipping off the popular and well-paid Mike Conley to Utah was the biggest of the seven trades Memphis made to overhaul the roster, stockpile draft picks and start creating salary cap space."Who knew you could make so many trades?" Zach Kleiman, the executive vice president of basketball operations, asked rhetorically Monday during the Grizzlies' media day.And Kleiman is not done yet.The Andre Iguodala situation has to be resolved. He is technically on the Grizzlies' roster, even though both Memphis and Iguodala have agreed he will stay away during training camp. The Grizzlies now are much younger with their future in the hands of Jaren Jackson Jr., the No. 4 pick overall of 2018; Ja Morant, the second overall pick in June; and first-time head coach Taylor Jenkins who led Memphis to the Summer... Sat Dec 15 201820:33AP source: Wizards acquire Ariza from Suns for Oubre, Rivers
WASHINGTON (AP) — After a three-way trade fell apart over mistaken identity, the Wizards are getting Trevor Ariza after all.Washington agreed in principle Saturday to acquire Ariza from the Phoenix Suns for Kelly Oubre Jr. and Austin Rivers, according to a person familiar with the deal. The person spoke to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity because it had not been announced by either team. This Ariza trade came together hours after a potential three-way deal involving the Grizzlies fell apart late Friday night over whether Memphis was including Dillon Brooks or MarShon Brooks. The saga included general managers informing players they'd been traded, awkward conversations to explain they weren't and finally the talks coming to an end.Wizards players went through the emotional roller coaster of the failed trade after their loss at Brooklyn as Oubre and Rivers were still on the team bus to the airport and the flight home."We all understand it's a business," guard John Wall said after... Mon Oct 15 201813:45After late firing of GM, Suns look to begin winning, finally
PHOENIX (AP) — This is supposed to be the year that the Phoenix Suns finally start to win again.General manager Ryan McDonough had said the goal was to be the most improved team in the NBA. If that happens, it will be without McDonough.Owner Robert Sarver fired the general manager nine days before the Suns' season opener."For me, the switch has flipped and it's now time to start figuring out how to win," Sarver said in an interview on 98.7 Arizona Sports the day of the firing.Well, maybe.Under first-year coach Igor Kokoskov, Phoenix will have some talent on the floor. Devin Booker, fresh from signing a five-year, $158 million contract, leads the way after averaging 24.9 points per game last season.Trevor Ariza came over from Houston as a free agent and Ryan Anderson was acquired from the Rockets in a trade. And, of course, there's 7-foot-1 Deandre Ayton, the No. 1 overall pick in the draft, patrolling the middle.Josh Jackson and T.J. Mon Sep 24 201818:08Point guard biggest question as Suns open camp
PHOENIX (AP) — The Phoenix Suns have made a host of roster moves for what they expect to be a vastly improved season ahead."I feel like we checked most of the boxes on our to-do list this summer," general manager Ryan McDonough said at the team's media day Monday. "We have more shooting. We have potentially a better defensive team. And we have a lot of veteran guys to teach our young guys how to win and help them win."But one glaring question remains. Just who is the point guard? There is no experienced point guard among the 17 players who head north for the Suns' weeklong training camp at Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff."I figured that would be the first question," McDonough said. "We're young there. We're inexperienced there."The team has four point guards, including rookies Elie Okobo and De'Anthony Melton. The veterans are Isaiah Canaan, who was playing well for Phoenix until a gruesome leg injury ended his season, and Shaquille Harrison.A trade remains a possibility."We don't... [More]
Fri Aug 31 201820:17Suns get Anderson, send Knight, Chriss to Rockets
PHOENIX (AP) — The Phoenix Suns have completed a four-player trade that sends guard Brandon Knight and forward Marquese Chriss to the Houston Rockets for forward Ryan Anderson and guard De'Anthony Melton.Knight had been considered in line to start at point guard for the Suns after missing last season while recovering from knee surgery but now will see time as a backup to Chris Paul for what is expected to be an NBA contender in Houston. The 6-foot-10 Anderson, who two years ago signed a four-year, $80 million free agent deal with Houston, figures to start at power forward alongside this year's No. 1 overall draft pick, center Deandre Ayton.Chriss was the eighth overall pick out of Washington two years ago who has not progressed the way the Suns had hoped. Still, he's just 21.Melton, 19, is a second-round draft pick out of USC who showed dynamic, if raw, talent in the Las Vegas Summer League. To make the trade work financially, Anderson agreed to reduce the guaranteed portion of his contract...
