Tue Jun 21 201113:17Cardinals recall Hamilton
Cardinals recalled 1B Mark Hamilton from Triple-A Memphis.
Hamilton should get a decent amount of looks at first base over the next month-plus as Albert Pujols recovers from a left forearm fracture. The 26-year-old has posted quality numbers at the Triple-A level this season but is unlikely to carry much in the way of mixed league fantasy value.

The Cardinals will recall first baseman Mark Hamilton before Tuesday's game against the Phillies.
St. Louis is likely to play Lance Berkman at first base and Jon Jay in right field in most matchups, but Hamilton could also see time with Albert Pujols out a month-plus due to a fractured forearm. Hamilton, 26, has posted a .385/.504/.538 batting line in 27 games at the Triple-A level this season. He has five hits in 42 major league plate appearances.

Cardinals recalled 1B Mark Hamilton from Triple-A Memphis.
A first baseman by trade, Hamilton will likely see some time in the outfield during his recall thanks to the absence of Matt Holliday. Although he went just 3-for-15 during a call-up earlier this season, he has been raking at Memphis, posting a .391/.509/.552 slash in 25 games.

Cardinals recalled 1B Mark Hamilton from Triple-A Memphis.
Hamilton may get a start or two in the next couple of days if the Cardinals want to give Albert Pujols a game off, but he's not versatile and won't see much action otherwise. He can be ignored in fantasy leagues.

Tue Apr 19 201112:47Cardinals to call up Hamilton on Tuesday
The Cardinals will call up Mark Hamilton before Tuesday's game against the Nationals.
Hamilton slugged three home runs and tallied seven RBI across 45 at-bats in Cardinals camp this spring. He's not very versatile in the field, though, and won't get many starts behind Albert Pujols at first base.
