The Memphis Grizzlies waived big man Brian Skinner on Thursday.
By waiving Skinner, some are speculating that the Grizz are on the brink of re-signing Hamed Haddadi, who was the backup center for Memphis last season. Skinner will look to latch on with another team in need of a backup big man.

Thu Dec 2 201019:52Skinner signs with Bucks
Veteran center Brian Skinner signed with the Bucks on Thursday.
Skinner was with the Bucks in the preseason before he was eventually released prior to the start of the regular season. The move to bring him back is a response to Andrew Bogut suffering back spasms. Bogut is questionable for the team's next game on Saturday, but even if he sits out, Skinner would hold just minimal value as a spot-start.

Sun Oct 17 201002:51Skinner gets big minutes due to foul issues
Brian Skinner saw 28 minutes in Saturday's game when the Bucks starting frontcourt of Drew Gooden and Ersan Ilyasova got into early foul trouble.
Skinner did okay, with eight rebounds and four blocks to go with two points, but he's clearly not a fantasy option buried at the end of the bench.
Wed Sep 29 201018:06Bucks sign F/C Brian Skinner
The Bucks have signed F/C Brian Skinner.
He'll play a deep reserve role off the bench, and his signing means the Bucks are now out of the running for Erick Dampier. Skinner could get some run if Andrew Bogut misses time with his gimpy elbow.
