Eduardo Sanchez has been diagnosed with an olecranon stress fracture in his right elbow.
The Tigers are only saying that he will be out for "an extended period" of time. Sanchez signed a minor league contract with Detroit in December and was hoping to compete for a spot in the major league bullpen.
