Walters was acquired by the Nationals from the Dodgers on Monday in exchange for cash considerations, Dan Kolko of MASN reports.

Walters signed a minor league deal with the Dodgers on Wednesday and will start for Triple-A Oklahoma City on Thursday, Eric Stephen of True Blue LA reports.
Walters split 2014 between three different minor league clubs. He has past experience in the majors, and the Dodgers continue to look for starters to fill out the back end of the rotation. He's definitely no lock to start with the major league club, but a strong couple of starts at Triple-A could lead to a chance until Hyun-Jin Ryu returns from the disabled list.

The Phillies signed Walters to a minor league contract.
Walters spent all of last season in the minors where he went 7-9 with a 4.82 ERA and a 125:46 K:BB ratio in 142 innings. He'll give the Phillies additional starting depth in the minors.

Fri Mar 21 201420:02P.J. Walters hit hard against Angels
P.J. Walters was hit hard in Friday's Cactus League loss to the Angels, surrendering three runs on five hits over two innings of work.
Walters also issued a pair of free passes and failed to strike out a batter. The former Twins hurler now owns an unsightly 9.45 ERA on the spring season, making it extremely unlikely that he'll get a look with the Royals any time soon.

Twins designated RHP P.J. Walters for assignment.
It comes as no surprise. Walters has posted a 5.95 ERA and 1.75 WHIP over eight starts this season for the Twins and is no longer needed with Mike Pelfrey returning from the DL. He seems likely to clear waivers and wind up back at Triple-A Rochester.

Wed Jul 3 201323:30Walters takes 5th loss, Twins fall to Yankees
P.J. Walters allowed three runs over five innings in a loss to the Yankees on Wednesday.
Walters held the Yankees scoreless through five innings before falling apart in the sixth, surrendering three runs without recording an out. In total he gave up for hits and three walks, striking out three. We keep wondering aloud how long Walters will be allowed to stay in the Twins' rotation and he keeps going out there every fifth day, so expect to see him Monday when the Twins take on the Rays in Tampa.

Fri Jun 28 201323:36P.J. Walters knocked around in loss to Royals
P.J. Walters was knocked around again in Friday's loss to the Royals, surrendering six runs on six hits in his three innings of work.
Walters walked one and struck out one on the night. This disaster comes on the heels of his last start, where he allowed six runs in just 1/3 of an inning in a losing effort against the Indians. While the Twins are starved for depth in the starting rotation, it would be surprising to see them let Walters make another start. He should even be avoided in deep AL-only formats.

P.J. Walters lasted just 1/3 of an inning, surrendering six runs in a loss to the Indians on Saturday.
Walters was done in by wildness on Saturday, as he walked five Indians batters and hit another. The one hit he did give up was a two-run double to Jason Kipnis. The right-hander now owns a 4.88 ERA and 1.76 WHIP this year, and it'll be interesting to see how long the Twins roll with him going forward.

Tue Jun 11 201322:46Walters can't earn third win against Phillies
P.J. Walters allowed two runs -- one earned -- in 7 1/3 innings on Tuesday but took a no-decision against the Phillies.
Walters left with the lead but reliever Brian Duensing allowed an inherited run to score, denying Walters a chance for his third win of the season. The right-hander has been a pleasant surprise for the Twins in his four starts this year, going 2-1 with a 2.49 ERA. He can still be ignored outside of AL-only leagues, though. He'll next start Sunday against the Tigers.

Wed Jun 5 201323:37Walters battles for quality start vs. Royals
P.J. Walters allowed three runs -- none earned -- over six innings but took the loss against the Royals on Wednesday.
Walters had won his previous two starts before taking the loss on Wednesday, despite the fact that Wednesday's start was possibly the best of the three. The right-hander scattered seven hits and three walks over his six innings, and he now owns a 3.00 ERA in 18 innings. Assuming he stays in the rotation, his next start will come Tuesday against the Phillies.

Sat May 25 201319:01Walters goes seven strong, Twins end streak
P.J. Walters held the Tigers to two runs over seven innings Saturday in a 3-2 Twins victory.
The Twins had a 3-0 lead after the top of the first inning so Walters simply pounded the strike zone, allowing eight hits but issuing only one walk against the dangerous Tigers attack. Walters had some solid numbers at Triple-A Rochester and should get some more looks in Minnesota, but he's never going to be a good fantasy option. The Twins' losing streak is over at 10 games.
