Scalabrine is always a fan favorite and would like to continue his run in the NBA, but it remains to be seen if there's a team willing to sign him. For now, the only two centers on Chicago's roster are Joakim Noah, who missed the Olympics with a severely sprained ankle, and journeyman Nazr Mohammed.

According to Davide Chinellato, a journalist for the Italian publication Gazzetta della Sport, Brian Scalabrine is trying out with the Italian team Treviso and will have a couple of weeks to make the roster.
Scalabrine hinted in July that he'd explore his European options, and now he's doing exactly that. He's certainly not a lock to make the roster, and if he's cut by the team, his chances of ever gracing an NBA roster may very well be slim to none.

New Bulls coach Tom Thibodeau had a good relationship with Scal in Boston, fueling speculation that they'll reunite. It's unlikely to happen if Chicago gets Rudy Fernandez, and in any case "The job, for now unless it's Fernandez, is a 12th or 13th man who might play a day a week."

Scalabrine is probably better known for his dancing and towel waving more than anything else, but was a good locker room guy for the Celtics.
