He will not need surgery to repair his "mid-foot sprain," but he is still facing a lengthy recovery timetable, and his season is officially over. Julian Talley was added from the practice squad to take Jernigan's spot on the roster.

With Odell Beckham still recovering from a hamstring injury, it's likely Jernigan will be the team's No. 3 wideout in Week 1.
