Boling's has been termed as "seamless" since he tore his ACL in Week 13. Barring a setback, he'll be the Bengals' starting left guard come Week 1. It's good news for both the Bengals' run and pass games.

Boling's recovery from a Week 13 ACL tear has reportedly been "seamless." Even if he's not ready for day one, Boling should be ready to roll at some point during camp and suit up as the starting left guard come Week 1 at Baltimore.

Boling tore his ACL in Week 13. He's obviously not going to participate in OTAs or minicamp but could see action at some point during training camp. Tanner Hawkinson is expected to get the majority of the reps at left guard while Boling is sidelined. Boling is an above-average pass protector.

Bengals placed LG Clint Boling on injured reserve with a torn ACL, ending his season.
Boling suffered the injury during Sunday's win over San Diego. He graded out as a top-20 guard in Pro Football Focus' ratings prior to going down, but could struggle to get healthy in time for training camp next season. The Bengals re-signed OL Dennis Roland in a corresponding move to provide depth.

The Bengals felt comfortable releasing Travelle Wharton because Clint Boling has established himself as their starting left guard.
Boling, 24, replaced an injured Wharton at left guard last season and graded out as a top-11 guard in the entire league, per Pro Football Focus. Signed cheaply through 2014, Boling has proven to be a steal in the 2011 fourth round.

Bengals LG Clint Boling is rehabbing an ankle injury at OTAs, but he's expected to be ready for training camp.
Boling, a 2011 fourth-round pick, started all 16 games at left guard last season, and he graded out as Pro Football Focus' No. 10 left guard. He may have to compete with veteran Travelle Wharton for the starting gig this season.

Bengals rookie RG Clint Boling was benched after one series in Sunday's loss to San Francisco.
The Bengals' opening drive was actually one of the their best of the day. Cedric Benson was able to rush five times for 15 yards, with all five attempts coming on the right side. Boling was replaced by Mike McGlynn. A fourth-round pick, Boling was starting his third straight game in place of a suspended Bobbie Williams. He could be shifted back to his natural position of tackle once Williams returns in Week 5.

Rookie Clint Boling will be the starting right guard in the Bengals' Week 1 game against the Browns.
"Boling is good. He's really smart," insisted OL coach Paul Alexander. "We saw this on the horizon. He's worked a lot with the ones." Boling played mostly tackle at Georgia, but has guard arm length at 33 1/4". He could hold his own in protection, but run blocking may be a different story right off the bat.
