Sun Oct 11 201512:11Maxwell (quadriceps) active for Sunday's game against Saints
Maxwell (quadriceps) is active for Sunday's game against the Saints, ESPN's Adam Caplan reports.
Maxwell logged full practices Thursday and Friday and was listed as probable heading into Sunday's game, so his status was never really in peril. The cornerback has been victimized in coverage frequently in his first season in Philadelphia, but it's probably helped his cause for fantasy purposes. Since he's being heavily targeted, Maxwell has received ample opportunity to rack up the stops, as his 23 tackles through four games put him on pace to blow past his career-best mark in that category.

Maxwell (quadriceps) is listed as probable for Sunday's game against the Saints.
Maxwell logged full practices Thursday and Friday, after sitting out Wednesday's session. He's on pace for a career-best 92 tackles, but it will be a big surprise if he actually reaches that number, as his 10-tackle game against Julio Jones and the Falcons was an obvious outlier. Of course, if he continues to struggle in coverage, Maxwell will probably see far more targets than what was expected heading into the year.

Maxwell (shoulder) will likely be able to play in Sunday's game against the Saints, Les Bowen of the Philadelphia Daily News reports.
Maxwell injured his quad during the first quarter of Sunday's loss to the Redskins, allowing rookie Eric Rowe to work in an every-snap role. If Maxwell doesn't end up playing in Week 5, Rowe will likely get the start.
Sun Oct 4 201513:34Byron Maxwell:
Maxwell (quad) is questionable to return Sunday against the Redskins.
The Eagles have been struggling mightily in the secondary, and the defense is likely to struggle badly if he can't return. EJ Biggers should take over for him in the lineup.

Maxwell was beaten for a late-game touchdown in Sunday's 20-10 loss to the Cowboys.
Maxwell, once considered a possible DB1 in IDP leagues, has looked pedestrian at best and brutal at worst in his first two games with the Eagles. Julio Jones torched Maxwell in Week 1, and Brandon Weeden tossed a game-sealing 42-yard touchdown pass to Terrance Williams against Maxwell in Week 2. He has very little fantasy value right now, and it doesn't look promising moving forward.

Maxwell picked up an interception and recorded a tackle and a pass defensed in Saturday's 40-17 win over the Ravens.
The first interception from the Eagles' big free agent acquisition was a relatively easy play, but Maxwell was in the right position and held on to the ball. He's played good defense in the first two preseason games, and more importantly hasn't been burnt for a touchdown. The team is leaning on Maxwell to lead the revamp of their porous pass defense from a year ago, and so far he's doing his job. They'll be expecting more interceptions when the regular season begins.
Tue Mar 10 201519:21Maxwell's deal with Eagles for six years and $63 million
Maxwell's deal with the Eagles is for six years and $63 million, of which $25M is fully guaranteed, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports.
With Maxwell headed to the Eagles to start at right cornerback, the Seahawks quickly replaced him by signing Cary Williams, who Philadelphia released last week.
Sun Mar 8 201517:38Maxwell slated to sign with Eagles
Maxwell is slated to sign with the Eagles, ESPN.com reports.
With the Eagles having released Cary Williams last week and fellow starting cornerback Bradley Fletcher set to become a free agent, Maxwell fills a positional need for the team. Maxwell recorded 39 tackles and two picks in 13 games with the Seahawks last season, including 12 starts, while working opposite Richard Sherman.

Maxwell is anxious to return to the field after being out for nearly a month with the injury. His return will help a Seattle secondary that will be without Kam Chancellor.
Fri Nov 7 201418:06Maxwell (calf) questionable for Sunday's game against Giants
Maxwell (calf) is questionable for Sunday's game against the Giants.
Maxwell logged a limited practice Thursday and a full one Friday, so it looks like he might return Sunday. He'd be a welcome boost to the Seattle cornerback rotation.
Sun Nov 2 201415:11Maxwell (calf) inactive for Sunday's game against Raiders
Maxwell (calf) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Raiders.
Maxwell was declared out on Friday and will miss a third consecutive game with his calf injury. Tharold Simon started at cornerback opposite Richard Simon last week and is expected to do the same again Sunday.

Maxwell (calf) is out for Sunday's game against Carolina.
Maxwell was aiming to return to practice this week, but he wasn't quite able to make it. Hopefully his goal of returning to practice this week forecasts an ability to get back on the field following Sunday's game.
Mon Oct 20 201420:27Maxwell (calf) could return to practice this week
Maxwell (calf) could return to practice this week.
Maxwell suffered the injury during the team's loss to the Cowboys, and he did not play Sunday against St. Louis. If the veteran returns to practice this week, he stands a good chance to play against Carolina on Sunday. On the season, Maxwell has 26 tackles, one pick and five passes defended.

Maxwell (calf) is expected to miss one or two weeks after suffering a calf injury Sunday, NFL.com reports.
Maxwell was initially feared to have suffered a serious ankle injury, but fortunately escaped such a setback. Instead, the cornerback is dealing with a calf injury that might just sideline him a couple weeks. If that proves true, Marcus Burnley is expected to start opposite Richard Sherman at cornerback for the Seahawks.
Mon Oct 13 201412:51Maxwell suffered calf injury during Sunday's loss to Cowboys
Maxwell suffered a calf injury during Sunday's loss to the Cowboys, ESPN 710 Seattle reports.
Maxwell was initially thought to have suffered an ankle injury, but coach Pete Carroll deemed it a calf ailment Monday. Nonetheless, his health situation is worthwhile to monitor, since the Seahawks have already placed cornerback Jeremy Lane (groin) on their IR/designated to return list. Should Maxwell be forced to miss time, promoted nickel corner Marcus Burnley would figure to start opposite Richard Sherman, while DeShawn Shead fills Seattle's slot role.

Seahawks coach Pete Carroll said after Sunday's loss to the Cowboys that Maxwell may have suffered a high ankle sprain during the game.
Maxwell never returned to Sunday's contest after exiting around the five-minute mark of the second quarter. His absence left more playing time for nickel corner Marcus Burley and fellow defensive back DeShawn Shead. With CB Jeremy Lane (groin) already on IR/designated to return, the Seahawks have shaky depth at cornerback, despite their reputation for developing talent at the position. Maxwell had 25 tackles (22 solo), three passes defensed and an interception through his first four games, so Burley could make for a nice temporary IDP option, if the injury turns out to be serious.

Maxwell suffered an ankle injury during Sunday's game versus Dallas and is listed as questionable to return, USA Today reports.
Maxwell was carted to the Seahawks' locker room following Sunday's injury. If he's unable to return, usual nickel cornerback Marcus Burley figures to continue to play opposite Richard Sherman, forcing Seattle to designate a safety to cover slot receivers.
Thu Jul 28 201111:52Seahawks sign rookie special teamer Maxwell
Seahawks signed sixth-round DB Byron Maxwell to a four-year, $2.15 million contract.
The Seahawks drafted Maxwell strictly to play special teams, and at 6-foot-1, 204 with 4.46 speed he should be able to get downfield on kickoff coverage awfully quickly. His rookie deal reportedly includes a $113,452 signing bonus.
