Peterson notched two solo tackles, one tackle for loss, and one pass defended in Sunday's loss to the Rams.
After logging all 53 defensive snaps in Week 4, according to Mike Jurecki of FOX Sports 910 Phoenix, Peterson has earned 96 percent of those snaps this season. The heavy usage isn't reflected in Peterson's game log -- he has just six solo tackles and one interception -- but his ability as a shut-down corner may have reached new heights in 2015. Through four games, he's held opposing receivers to 85 yards total through the air, Pro Football Focus reports, which explains his lack of attention to date from opposing signal-callers.

Peterson recorded three tackles and an interception in Sunday's Week 2 contest against the Bears.
After a disappointing 2014 season, Peterson showed up to camp in great shape and assured everyone that he was healthy and ready to go. He looked good on Sunday against Jay Cutler and the Bears when he recorded his first interception of the year. Peterson picked off 7 passes back in 2012 and if he could possibly regain that form, he'd be a solid IDP at the cornerback position.

Peterson says he's "diabetes-free" heading into the upcoming season.
Peterson was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes last October and after curbing his nutrition to control the symptoms, his play notably improved toward the back half of last season. Now, with further focus on monitoring his diet, sugar level and blood pressure, Peterson says he has reversed the disease and is currently "diabetes-free". Furthermore, Peterson expressed that he has lost "a lot" of weight and feels rejuvenated heading into the upcoming campaign, which is certainly encouraging news from the four-time Pro Bowl cornerback.

Peterson acknowledged this past weekend that he's "a diabetic," the Cardinals' official site reports. In a subsequent statement, he said, "While I did have abnormal sugar levels, I've been working with doctors on a strategic meal plan and workout routine that are reversing these symptoms. I'm grateful that this has been reversible for me and my health is back to normal."
After inking the richest deal for a cornerback last summer, Peterson was rather sluggish during the first month of the 2014 campaign. On the receiving end of numerous targets, defensive holds, and pass interference calls, he didn't start to turn it around until October, which coincided with the discovery of his medical condition. With that knowledge, he still finished the season with 50 tackles (43 solo), seven passes defended, three interceptions, one defensive touchdown, and one sack in 16 games. His search for a happy medium regarding his conditioning and diet should place him back in the IDP elite for next season.

Peterson posted 50 tackles (43 solo), seven passes defended, three interceptions (one for a touchdown), and one sack in 2014.
Peterson more or less upheld his status as one of the league's top cornerbacks, but after signing the richest deal at the position last offseason, the level of scrutiny surrounding his play will likely remain high in the coming years. While he has yet to miss a game in four professional seasons, picked off 15 passes to date, and averaged 52.8 tackles per campaign, his lack of passes to defend quells his IDP value.

Peterson notched eight solo tackles and a sack during Sunday's win against the Chiefs.
Despite thoroughly getting beat in Week 13 by Julio Jones, Peterson has cobbled together his most productive two-week stretch of the season, IDP-wise, with 14 solo stops and the sack on the ledger. Peterson's takedown of Alex Smith midway through the third quarter marked just the second of his notable career to date, but the cornerback's offerings to fantasy pursuits have otherwise been modest at best in 2014.

Peterson picked off two passes, including one for a touchdown, and tallied two solo tackles in Sunday's victory versus the Rams.
The interceptions were Peterson's first two of the season, but the pick-six marked the first defensive touchdown in his brief, but notable, career to date. He's now nabbed at least two throws from opposing quarterbacks in each of his four campaigns, and with the occasionally awry Matthew Stafford coming to town Sunday, Peterson could soon add another to his ledger.
Sun Nov 2 201412:02Peterson (concussion) listed as active Sunday at Dallas
Peterson (concussion) is listed as active Sunday at Dallas, the Cardinals' official site reports.
After receiving clearance from the concussion protocol midweek, Peterson's Week 9 availability wasn't really in question. Although he's poised to be the highest-paid cornerback once the 2016 season commences, he's been largely avoided by the opposition this year, leaving his ledger largely blank (20 tackles and one pass defended in seven contests).

Peterson received concussion clearance earlier this week, so any concerns with his status for Sunday are long gone by now.
Thu Oct 30 201418:14Patrick Peterson: (Concussion) Practices Fully Thursday
Peterson (concussion) practiced in full Thursday, FOX Sports 910 Phoenix reports.
After emerging from the concussion protocol Wednesday, Peterson fit in a limited showing in drills, and his upgrade to full practice all but assures his presence in the Cardinals' defensive backfield Sunday at Dallas. Expect Friday's injury report to confirm his Week 9 availability.

Peterson passed his concussion test Wednesday and proceeded to practice on a limited basis, the Cardinals' official site reports.
Peterson relayed that he lost consciousness for a brief time after Sunday's hit, which came courtesy of a drilling placed upon the Eagles' Jeremy Maclin from Peterson's own teammate, Deone Bucannon. While Peterson may not practice fully by week's end, his Week 9 availability could be confirmed upon the release of Friday's injury report.

Peterson (concussion) will not return to Sunday's game against the Eagles, NFL.com reports.
Peterson tallied five tackles (three solo) prior to exiting Sunday's contest with a concussion. The Cardinals' star cornerback will now have to clear concussion protocol before he's able to play next.

Peterson was forced to exit Sunday's game against the Eagles and is now being evaluated for a concussion, azcentral.com reports.
Peterson went down following a scary collision with Eagles' wideout Jeremy Maclin. After laying on the field for a while, Peterson was able to walk to the Cardinals' locker room under his own power. At the moment, it's unclear whether Peterson will be able to return.
Sun Oct 19 201415:19Peterson (ankle) active for Sunday's game at Oakland
Peterson (ankle) is active for Sunday's game at Oakland, Mark Dalton of the Cardinals' official site reports.
The playmaking threat has yet to make his presence felt this season, but Peterson could take advantage of rookie signal caller Derek Carr, who has tossed at least one pick in four consecutive contests.

Peterson (ankle) is probable for Sunday's game against Oakland.
As always, Peterson presents a playmaking threat on the Arizona defense, but he likely won't be targeted enough to be a reliable IDP option.
Wed Oct 15 201421:27Peterson (ankle) limited practice participant Wednesday
Peterson (ankle) was a limited practice participant Wednesday, the Cardinals' official site reports.
Peterson isn't living up to the extension signed during the offseason, which will make him the NFL's highest-paid cornerback upon completion of his rookie deal at the end of the 2015 season. Nevertheless, expect him to progress through the concern, as he did a week ago, and be available Sunday against the Raiders and rookie quarterback Derek Carr.
Sun Oct 12 201415:19Peterson (ankle) active for Sunday's contest versus Washington
Peterson (ankle) is active for Sunday's contest versus Washington, the Cardinals' official site reports.
Because opposing schemes largely avoid throwing his direction, Peterson's tackle total decreased in each of his first three seasons. As such, his relevance in fantasy depends on his ability to pick off passes, but he's managed just one pass defended in four outings this year.
Fri Oct 10 201419:09Peterson (ankle) probable for Sunday's game against Washington
Peterson (ankle) is probable for Sunday's game against Washington.
Peterson practiced fully Thursday and Friday, so he's definitely ready to go. His IDP utility usually hinges on whether he intercepts a pass, as he doesn't pile up many tackles.

Peterson (ankle) was upgraded to a full participant in Thursday's practice, FOX Sports 910 Phoenix reports.
IDP owners shouldn't worry about Peterson's availability Sunday against Washington. However, hand-wringing is another issue, as opposing quarterbacks are rarely looking his way, holding him to 11 tackles (10 solo) and one pass defended through four outings.
Wed Oct 8 201420:07Peterson (ankle) limited participant in Wednesday's practice
Peterson (ankle) was a limited participant in Wednesday's practice.
Peterson's injured left ankle isn't affecting his activity level entirely, which upholds coach Bruce Arians' thoughts regarding the cornerback's ability to recover OK. Through four games, Peterson hasn't exactly achieved the standard expected by his contract. As the NFL's highest-paid corner, he only has 11 tackles (10 solo) to his name, while turning in a pair of supbar outings against the Giants and Broncos.
