Gindl signed a minor league deal with the Blue Jays on Friday that includes an invitation to spring training, Shi Davidi of Sportsnet reports.
Gindl spent most of 2014 in Triple-A, batting .227/.310/.354 with eight home runs and 32 RBI in 362 at-bats. he was given a couple chances in the majors over the past couple seasons and didn't impress the Brewers enough to keep him on the 40-man. He will have receive a chance at grabbing the backup outfield spot with the Blue Jays if he can put together a strong spring training.

Gindl showed some promise last year by posting a .779 OPS over 57 big league games, but he played his way off the Brewers' 40-man roster by putting up just a .663 OPS in 110 games with Triple-A Nashville this season. It remains to be seen if he will remain with the Brewers if he clears waivers.

Caleb Gindl smacked a solo homer in a losing effort against the Giants in Cactus League play on Friday.
The 25-year-old outfielder finished the afternoon 1-for-3 with the longball coming off Brett Bochy in the ninth inning. He held his own by slashing .242/.340/.439 and a 25/20 K/BB ratio in 132 at-bats with the Brewers in 2013, and is likely to crack the Opening Day roster as a reserve outfielder.
