Tue Nov 5 201313:26Redd to officially retire as a Milwaukee Buck
Michael Redd will officially retire as a Milwaukee Buck on Wednesday.
This isn't huge fantasy news as George W. Bush was still President the last time that Redd played more than 33 games in a season, but it's still bittersweet to see one of the mid-2000's best scorers step away from the game. Thanks for the memories, Mr. Redd.

Wed Sep 12 201219:32Grizzlies are not interested in Michael Redd
The Grizzlies are not interested in signing Michael Redd.
Redd would cost the Grizzlies about $1.7 million and they reportedly are not interested in agreeing to guaranteed deals for training camp. The 34-year-old Redd's knee held up fine last year and he only missed two games after February 1st. There's still no reason to draft him in fantasy leagues, though.

Wed Aug 22 201211:45Report: Redd drawing interest from 5 teams
Unrestricted free agent Michael Redd is drawing interest from the Wizards, Nuggets, Grizzlies, Bulls and Thunder, according to Sam Amico of Fox Sports Ohio.
We can't say that we agree with all of the teams that Amico lists here, but it's clear that Redd will likely find a home well before next season begins. Regardless of his next destination, Redd will not be on the fantasy radar.

Wed Aug 1 201215:03Michael Redd taking time in making decision
Free agent G/F Michael Redd is taking his time in finding a team, citing team fit and coaching staff as reasons for the delay.
Redd, who turns 33 years old on August 24, had been courted by the Suns and Bulls earlier this summer, but those teams have backed off for now. Michael Redd's agent, Kevin Poston, said the free agent is taking his time, but there is probably a bit of a agent-speak going on -- Redd may not have many offers to be "choosing" from either. No matter where he lands, he won't have fantasy value this season.

Fri Jul 6 201215:37FA Redd being courted by Suns and Bulls
Free-agent shooting guard Michael Redd is being courted most heavily by the Suns and the Bulls.
The Suns are waiting on if the Hornets match their offer to Eric Gordon before making a move on Redd. The Bulls are waiting to see how the free agent landscape plays out before the July 10 deadlines to guarantee contracts of Kyle Korver, Ronnie Brewer and C.J. Watson before making their decision on Redd. He won't have much fantasy value in either spot, as he will only be a low volume 3-point specialist wherever he lands.

Mon Jun 18 201210:00Report: Cavs not interested in Michael Redd
Contrary to a previous report, unrestricted free agent Michael Redd is not thought to be an option for the Cavs.
Fox Sports Ohio previously reported Redd could be on the Cavs Radar in the offseason, but that doesn't appear to be the case. The team is thought to be more interested in developing their young players, which makes much more sense than bringing in an aging veteran like Redd.

Thu Jun 7 201212:38Michael Redd on Cavs free agent radar?
Unrestricted free agent Michael Redd is a potential target for the Cavs.
The Cavs need to replace Anthony Parker, who is expected to retire, and the young Cleveland team could use some veteran leadership. Redd, who is a Columbus native and an Ohio State product, would make some sense if he's willing to accept a veteran minimum's deal and a reduced role.

Sun Apr 8 201200:33Michael Redd scores 23 points w/ four 3s
Michael Redd had another fine offensive game vs. the Lakers, scoring 23 points on 8-of-18 shooting, including 4-of-10 three-pointers.
We didn't expect Redd to stay hot for this long (four straight games with 15+ points), but he's still not contributing much beyond points and 3s. Tonight he had zero rebounds, one assist and two steals in 26 minutes.

Wed Apr 4 201200:51Redd scores 16 points in 16 minutes
Michael Redd caught fire off the bench, pouring in 16 points and a 3-pointer on 7-of-14 shooting in 16 minutes on Tuesday.
He did this a couple weeks ago too, but the good games are easily outweighed by the nights he's invisible.

Sun Mar 18 201223:23Michael Redd shoots 10-of-13 for 25 points
Veteran SG Michael Redd turned back the clock on Sunday with 25 points on 10-of-13 shooting (including three 3-pointers) , his highest scoring total since January 2010.
Nobody has ever questioned the purity of Redd's shooting stroke, and as long as his legs are fresh he's capable of spot-shooting the lights out. He was averaging 4.1 points in his previous eight games, so don't think about adding him outside of the very deepest leagues.

Tue Feb 21 201203:50Redd scores 14 points with two threes
Michael Redd scored 14 points off the bench on Monday against the Wizards, hitting 4-of-9 shots from the field (including two threes) with four rebounds and three assists in 22 minutes.
Redd has cracked double-figure scoring just twice in seven games and averaged 1.0 triples during that time. Move along.

Wed Feb 15 201200:25Redd scores season-high 20 in start at SG
Michael Redd started at shooting guard for a resting Grant Hill on Tuesday and hit 7-of-15 shots and three 3-pointers for a season-high 20 points and six rebounds in 28 minutes.
The minutes were also a season high and Redd is playing better than we thought he would, scoring in double digits in five of his last seven games. He's worth a look in deep leagues, but the Suns play their third game in three nights on Wednesday, and it would be surprising if Redd suits up for that one.

Fri Feb 10 201200:27Michael Redd scores 11 off Suns bench
Michael Redd hit 4-of-10 shots and a 3-pointer for 11 points and two 3-pointers in 19 minutes of Thursday's loss to the Rockets.
He's hit double figures in four straight games, but is averaging just over 20 minutes during the run, thanks to his balky knees. If he starts getting 25-30 minutes per game he'll be worth a look, but unless you're in a very deep league, Redd still belongs on waivers.

Tue Feb 7 201223:36Michael Redd scores 14 in return to Milwaukee
Michael Redd came off the bench to hit 7-of-14 shots and zero 3-pointers for 14 points and four rebounds in a tough win at Milwaukee, his former hometown while playing for the Bucks.
Redd has had a couple nice games this season, but still can't be trusted in fantasy leagues. But he deserves credit for fighting back from all the knee problems, and his return to Milwaukee tonight was a feel-good story.

Thu Feb 2 201207:50Michael Redd working to get comfortable
Michael Redd is working to get comfortable in the Phoenix offense.
"Whatever Coach decides to do as far as playing time, I'm rolling with it," he said. Redd played nearly 20 minutes in his season debut with the Suns, but hasn't seen over 15 minutes since that time. He's averaging 3.5 points on 26.7 percent shooting and should be nowhere near fantasy rosters right now.

Thu Jan 19 201216:24Michael Redd takes a DNP-CD
Michael Redd was a DNP-CD in Wednesday's win over the Knicks.
Coach Alvin Gentry was just paying a veteran respect when he said he could see Redd starting and playing 25-plus minutes per night. The reality is that Redd's torn up knees and 32-year-old body will prevent him from being an even average player at this point. Redd is shooting 23.8 percent in four appearances this season.

Sat Jan 14 201202:37Redd scores two points in second game
Michael Redd made some noise with talk of him starting before Friday's game, but finished with just two points on 1-of-5 shooting with one rebound and one assist in 13 minutes off the bench.
Redd is going to be much too inconsistent for use in fantasy leagues, and will need easy looks like the ones he got on Thursday during his 12-point effort to do any damage.

Fri Jan 13 201207:42Suns considering starting Michael Redd Friday
Alvin Gentry is considering starting Michael Redd on Friday against the Nets.
Gentry would start Redd over Jared Dudley in order for Dudley to serve as an offensive spark plug in the second unit. Nothing is set in stone, but Dudley's owners should keep tabs on the situation to see how it unfolds. Even if Dudley does come off the bench, we'd expect him to average between 28-32 minutes per night. Redd played 20 minutes in his debut on Thursday, scoring 12 points on 4-of-9 shooting from the floor.

Fri Jan 13 201202:07Redd returns from knee surgery, scores 12 pts
Michael Redd returned from a massive struggle with two knee surgeries on Thursday, and played decently with 12 points on 4-of-9 shooting (including three treys) with no rebounds, one assist, and one steal in 19 minutes.
As nice as the ball looked going through the hoop, we're not all that excited here. Aside from his wincing whenever he had truly open it up, Redd was the beneficiary of some really bad defense and we doubt he can sustain more than 20 minutes per night. Maybe he'll prove us wrong, but we feel good betting against it.

Thu Jan 12 201215:29Michael Redd to start sometime soon?
Coach Alvin Gentry claims he will consider starting Michael Redd in the future.
We'll believe it when we see it. Redd is going to make his Suns debut Thursday, but he's 32 and off another knee surgery. We'd be surprised if he can play more than 20 minutes in a single game, let alone sustain health. Jared Dudley owners shouldn't be worried.
