It seems likely that Henery's stint with the Lions could come to a close after Sunday's game, with former Bronco Matt Prater a name that comes to mind as a potential candidate to replace Henery, if the Lions cut him.

Henery, who was cut by the Eagles in advance of the season, lands in a situation where he could regain fantasy utility working behind Detroit's offense. He's worth considering out of the gate by those affected by the fact that six teams are on bye this coming week.

While such a decision hasn't yet been made official, based on the report, it appears as though the Eagles are poised to choose Parkey over Henery, though it won't be until roster cuts are turned in that such a scenario will be confirmed, one way or the other.

Cody Parkey is the latest competitor to Henery, but it remains to be seen how Philadelphia's kicking duties will be handled in Thursday's preseason finale. Nonetheless, Henery's job is under careful consideration.
