Dawkins agreed to a deal to play in Italy on Thursday, Sportando reports.

Dawkins played 22 minutes in four games with the Heat during his rookie season. Most of his time was spent in the D-league, where he averaged 18.7 points, 2.7 assists, 2.5 rebounds, and 4.0 three-pointers in 34 minutes per game. He was last seen playing six games for the Trail Blazers' summer league squad, posting 9.1 points and 2.5 three-pointers per contest.

Dawkins' second 10-day contract with the Celtics expired Saturday, the South Florida Sun-Sentinel reports.

After inking the first 10-day deal with Boston on Jan. 21, Dawkins was recalled only one time from Maine of the NBA's D-League and failed to make an appearance. However, in seven games with the Red Claws, he averaged 16.1 points (on 39 percent shooting), 3.7 three-pointers, 2.4 rebounds, 2.4 assists, and 1.1 steals in 36 minutes. With his audition for the Celtics over, he has been reacquired by Sioux Falls of the D-League, where he spent much of the first two months of the season.

Dawkins was assigned to the D-League on Thursday.

Dawkins, who inked a second 10-day deal earlier in the week, has played four games for the Maine Red Claws this season, averaging 20.0 points, 2.8 rebounds and 2.8 assists.

In two D-League games this season, Dawkins averaged 18.0 points and 4.0 assists in more than 41 minutes per game. His only action in the NBA this season has come with the Heat, for whom he played four games.

Dawkins is expected to sign a 10-day deal with the Celtics on Thursday, Shams Charania of RealGM reports.

Dawkins appeared in four games for the Heat this season before being waived on Jan. 6. The former Duke standout averaged 22.9 points and 3.4 assists in 11 D-League games for the Sioux Falls Skyforce.

Dawkins has spent time in the D-League this season and appeared in only four games for Miami. The move frees up a roster spot, though the Heat could look to bring Dawkins back on a 10-day deal.

Dawkins received the promotion after a stellar 42-point performance in the D-League for the Sioux Falls Skyforce on Saturday. Most impressively, he went 12-15 from beyond the arc en route to the 42 points. Despite this performance, Dawkins won't likely see much time on the court for the Heat during this most recent stint in the NBA as he's still considered to be one the last options off the bench for coach Erik Spoelstra.

Dawkins was assigned to the Heat's D-League affiliate after Wednesday's loss to the Hawks, the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.

Dawkins didn't come off the bench in Wednesday, the 15th time in 18 games that he's failed to register any court time. The Heat will attempt to rectify that by getting him some more extensive run in the D-League for an undetermined amount of time, but it's unlikely he'll see any meaningful action when he rejoins the NBA squad.

Since making the roster, Dawkins has yet to record his first minutes on the NBA hardwood. This doesn't look like it will change anytime soon, as both he and Coach Erik Spoelstra have acknowledged that he needs to improve various aspects of his game.
