Inglett turned in a disappointing .254/.331/.401 batting line, one home run and eight RBI over 142 at-bats in 2010. He's 32 years old, not very talented, and will probably have to settle for a minor league deal. |
Wed Nov 24 2010 | 13:58 | Inglett likely done in Milwaukee? |
Brewers MLB.com beat writer Adam McCalvy thinks the signing of Brandon Boggs might spell the end of Joe Inglett's tenure in Milwaukee. |
Well, it's not exactly Jeter-leaving-the-Yankees news. Inglett, who is arbitration-eligible, was a valuable pinch-hitter for the Brew Crew in 2010, picking up 20 hits in 68 at-bats for a .294 average. He's capable of playing every position but first base, catcher and pitcher, so some team in need of a utlilityman will give him a shot. |
