Kirk will likely sign with a team in Italy, Alex Kennedy of Basketball Insiders reports.

The undrafted seven-footer appeared in just five games with the Cavaliers in his short NBA stint. It looks like he'll be taking his game to the international level where there's more opportunity for him to get solid minutes.

Kirk will be waived by the Knicks, The Record reports.

Kirk was recently acquired as part of a trade that sent J.R. Smith and Iman Shumpert to the Cavaliers. The Knicks will now release him, opening up a spot on the roster and freeing up more cap room. He will go on waivers, and would become a free agent if he goes unclaimed.

Kirk was traded to the Knicks on Monday as part of a three-team deal that also involved the Thunder.

Kirk has only played in five games for the Cavaliers this season and his situation isn't necessarily going to improve in New York either. He'll likely spend the season buried on the depth chart at center unless injuries open things up for the rookie.

Kirk was recalled from the D-League on Sunday.

Kirk has bounced back and fourth from the D-League and the NBA this season. When considering that he's one of the last options off the bench for coach David Blatt in Cleveland, it's reasonable to assume that Kirk could head back down to Canton in the near future.

Kirk has already made four appearances for the Charge this season, averaging 21.8 points on 49.3 percent shooting with 8.8 rebounds and 1.5 blocks. The big man has seen time in only three games for the Cavaliers.
