DENVER (AP) — The Denver Nuggets have picked up guard Jordan McRae in a trade with Washington that became official Thursday night.In exchange, the Nuggets sent recently acquired guard Shabazz Napier to the Wizards.McRae averaged 12.9 points and 2.8 assists in 29 games for the Wizards this season. The 28-year-old out of Tennessee had surgery on his right ring finger in October. He's recently been dealing with a twisted left ankle.The 6-foot-5 McRae joins a Nuggets team that's off to a 36-16 start and currently sits in third place in the Western Conference. He provides back-court depth behind Jamal Murray, Will Barton, Gary Harris and Monte Morris. McRae has appeared in 115 games over four years with Washington, Cleveland and Phoenix. The Cleveland Cavaliers recalled center Sasha Kaun and guard Jordan McRae on Wednesday from the Canton Charge after they played in Game 1 of the NBA Development League Eastern Conference finals.In Canton's game Tuesday night, Kaun finished with 15 points on 6-of-7 shooting, nine rebounds, three steals and three blocks in 30 minutes while McRae added 21 points, four rebounds and five assists in 46 minutes.Kaun has played in 24 games for the Cavs this season and McRae has played in 21 games (14 for the Cavs). Both will be available for Wednesday night's regular-season finale against the Detroit Pistons.The Cavs also signed guard Dahntay Jones, who has appeared in 43 games (39 starts) for the Grand Rapids Drive of the NBA D-League.Jones averaged 15.7 points, 4.2 rebounds and 2.5 assists in 35.7 minutes for Grand Rapids. Cleveland Cavaliers guard Iman Shumpert will miss the final two games of the regular season after experiencing soreness and inflammation in his left knee that kept him out of Saturday's game in Chicago, the team announced Monday.After further evaluation on Sunday, Shumpert had his left knee drained. He will undergo additional treatment and rest over the next several days and is expected to be fully available for the start of playoff practice and preparation later this week, the Cavs said. He is averaging 5.8 points and 3.8 rebounds in 58 games this season.In addition, guard Mo Williams experienced discomfort and increased soreness in his left knee (chondromalacia) during and following the game in Indianapolis last Wednesday night. He traveled back to Cleveland on Thursday for further evaluation and monitoring, and then traveled Monday to see Dr. James Andrews in Florida for additional evaluation. Williams, who is averaging 8.2 points in 41 games, will be out of Monday night's home game against the Atlanta Hawks. The Phoenix Suns called up guard Jordan McRae, who scored an NBA Development League record 61 points last month, on Tuesday from Bakersfield.McRae was a starter in the D-League All-Star Game on Saturday in Toronto. He had seven points and five assists in the East's 128-124 victory.In six games with the Suns this season, McRae is averaging 4.8 points and 1.2 assists. He had 12 points and four assists in his NBA debut on Jan. 29 against the New York Knicks.The 24-year-old McRae previously signed a second 10-day contract with the Suns on Feb. 8.In 28 games with Bakersfield this season, the D-League All-Star was third in scoring with a 23.1-point average and averaging 5.2 assists, 4.5 rebounds and 1.7 steals in 28 games. His 61-point outburst came against Canton on Jan. 28 when he made 21 of 34 shots from the file and 16 of 18 free throws.
